It takes the high-jet ferry a hour to send us from one SAR to another.

Macau is almost dissimilar to its near neighbour, HK. Places here are within walking distance. Vehicular traffic is low, and the human capacity is insignificant especially at night when most would have retreated to the smoky Casinos for quick bucks.

Museum

Grand Prix Museum, Macau- Come here for a good education on racing cars. See the well-polished models.

Wine Museum, Macau- Free wine tasting makes the entry worthwhile.

The Taipa Houses Museum, Taipa- Came across this while aimlessly walking. They are beautiful colonial houses turned meaningful museums.

Church - the visits to the churches were eye-opening with my Catholic friend's guidance

Ruins of St. Paul's Church, Macau- The unmistakable signature landmark of Macau, with comprehensive write-ups and strong artifacts. .

St. Dominic Church, Macau- It houses Catholic artifacts on a shaky attic.

Places of Interest

Largo do Senado, Macau- Macau's answer to Chinatown (?) with a Portugese touch, with free bak-gua samples and fashion bargains.

Guia Fort and Lighthouse, Macau- The highest point in Macau.

Taipa Village, Taipa- More free food samples from shops

North Macau- Some parts in Macau are still walkways of the nostalgic Singapore.

Beach

Hac Sa Bay, Coloane- Black minerals and kids, good for a spa treatment. We had a good meal at a cozy restaurant nearby.

Casino

Lisboa Casino, Macau- The most happening gambling den day in day out.

Macau Palace Floating Casino, Macau- Sadly, there is no crowd and atmosphere here.

Another Singapore tourist in the free-and-easy Macau trip- Lisa
