We got sugar from a guy who got her from an auction who got her from that fellow and then this one and finally our farm is HOME!
She was so protective of Gunner we were not allowed to get too near.
I was there when Gunner was born but was unable to imprint him.
So, we have taken our time and allowed him to come to us... each sniff, and even the smallest touch was a gift.
Well... just as I was deciding it was high time Gunner learned who was going to be running things on our farm.... he decided we are OK! LOL
He came to me and I was allowed to touch his nose...a few minutes later I was allowed to touch his forehead... and before you knew it (45 minutes) he was allowing me to touch him all over! Especially if I scratched his butt cheeks! LOL
I was able to pick up feet and rub his belly and massage his back!
I am so happy we waited... he was able to learn to trust without being forced into it.
He is an amazing little creature!
