Blizzard

Author's Notes: This was written for the "Make Lex Happy" Ficathon Challenge. The individual I wrote for was mlleelizabeth. Her request was: Candles, cold weather, caramel.

Disclaimer: If they were mine, I'd give them ice cream.

Feedback: It's better than ice cream.

It had been Clarks idea to go for a walk in the snow.

Come on, Lex. This, with a duck of the head and a shy smile that would have melted Lexs reserve in an eyeblink if he hadnt remembered just how cold winter could be to someone with zero body hair.

Lex glanced out the window at the furious flakes beating themselves against the wide, glass panes. The Metropolis skyline was barely, barely, visible beyond the dense flurry of snow.

Lex could see Clarks brilliant grin reflected in the glass. He turned to face him, arching one eyebrow.

Its a blizzard, Clark.

The smile just got wider, and one plaid-covered shoulder (Lex never could get Clark to give up his flannel shirts) shrugged once. Its just windy this high up.

Its got to be below 20 degrees out there.

Clark took one step forward and hooked his index fingers into the waist of Lexs pants, pulling him close. Leaned down slightly to whisper in Lexs ear, low and husky, Ill keep you warm.

A slight growl escaped Lexs lips. Theres no way were leaving the penthouse now.

Laughing, Clark let go (Lex growled again) and headed towards the door. Dont forget your scarf.

Its so beautiful out. Its likelike a winter wonderland! Clarks face was flushed pink like a childs, eyes innocent-wide and utterly delighted, and Lex wondered how he could have even thought about denying Clark this -- denying Clark anything.

It was quiet; the only sound the soft rustling of winter wind and Clarks excited shouts, muffled somewhat by the encompassing snow. In the background, the distant hum of a far-away elsewhere, and Lex should have been freezing his ass off, but he wasnt.

It was late, and there are few cars and fewer people wandering the city street. The light of the streetlamps cast a warm, yellow glow, and for once, the city lookedpeaceful. Clean and new, like a blank slate. Or a fresh start after a near-drowning.

Hey, Lex! came from somewhere over Lex's left shoulder and before he had time to turn around, he felt the solid thwack of a snowball hit him between his shoulders. He stood perfectly still for a long moment, back ramrod straight, and he could practically feel Clarks grin drop. A smirk lifted the corner of his lips and in one fluid motion he reached down, scooped up a handful of snow and packed it into a swift, spherical projectile. By the time hed turned around, Clark was already running. The snow drifts slowed his movements some, though, and taking careful aim, Lex lobbed his snowball right at -- the spot where Clark had been only a second before.

He had just enough time to see it disappear quietly into the whiteness before a plaid-covered blur rushed into him and he tumbled backwards into the snow, cold wetness shocking the back of his head where hat and scarf didnt quite cover.

Dazed, he glared up at Clark and accused, You cheated.

Clark smirked in a perfect imitation of Lexs most frequent expression.

Hey, I cant help it if youre too slow to -- Before he could finish, Lex had flipped them both over and had rubbed a handful of snow onto Clarks face.

Ok, you win! Clark sputtered, hands waving wildly. Stop, stop! Its cold!

Lex sat back and made a show of scanning Clarks outfit: a thin, flannel shirt (the sleeves rolled up), and jeans.

Yeah, well, its wet. Clarks tongue darted out to lick at the melting flakes. His eyes lit up. I want ice cream.

Ice cream. Its below 20 out here -- Clark gave him a Look -- and you want ice cream.

Clark pouted, and Lex couldnt resist leaning forward to bite at his lower lip. Clark moaned, and Lex took the opportunity to slip inside and run his tongue along the back of Clarks teeth. He pulled back breathlessly, and Clark smiled up at him.

With caramel, even.

I knew we shouldve never left the penthouse.

Vanilla or chocolate?

Thats all we have?

Well, somebody ate all the mint chocolate chip yesterday.

Clark coughed into his fist. Vanillas fine.

Lex dug two spoons out of the kitchen drawer and leaned against the island across from Clark. He watched, bemused, as Clark proceeded to carefully lick the caramel from his spoon after each mouthful.

You know, if I catch pneumonia from all this Lex gave Clark a pointed look. Clark had just opened his mouth to retort when the lights above them flickered twice and then went out, plunging them into darkness.

The lights are out.

Oh really.

Footsteps and the sounds of rummaging somewhere to Lexs right, and then the sharp hiss and bright flare of a match. Clark lit several lean candles, placed them into holders, and set them on the counter behind him.

Lex leaned back to look up at him, shadows flickering across his features. He smirked.

The blizzard mustve downed some power li-- And then Clarks lips were on his, tongue sliding against the roof of his mouth, and Clark tasted of vanilla and caramel and snow, and Lex forgot what hed been about to say.

He moaned against Clarks mouth and ran his hands up his torso, fingertips dancing along the edge of his jeans. Clark leaned into him, brushing against his erection, and Lex arched his hips up, desperate for more contact. Clark slowly made his way down Lexs throat, nipping at his jaw line, and pressed open-mouthed kisses down his neck.

Running his hands down Lexs side, he grabbed the edge of Lexs sweater, pulled it off over his head, and continued his journey southward. Kneeling, he unbuttoned and unzipped Lexs pants, dropping them to pool around Lexs feet, his boxers soon following after.

Lex gripped the edge of the island, head thrown back, and inhaled sharply when he felt Clarks hot breath wash over his cock. Then it was gone, and Lex looked down, surprised.

Clark stared back up at him, eyes dancing with mischief.

Do we have any more caramel?
