| Who are the Jade Dragons? Well the Jade Dragons are comprised of 4 women and 8 men with the addition of 3 new players/subs this season.. The Jade Dragons have been playing inline hockey together for the last 5 seasons (our seasons run year round). Why are they so special??? Well its because they are the average "Joe". Meaning these are men and women who work a 40+ hour week, manage families and then devote their Satudays to inline hockey. They are commited to the team, play other nights, and have children who play as well. |

| I will be doing a series of tips on Forwards: Offensive/Defensive Hockey and Forechecking/ Backchecking: A Forwards PRIMARY role is to score goals when their team has possession/ controls the puck. This is "OFFENSIVE HOCKEY". Their SECONDARY role is to prevent goals when the oppostion have possession/ controls the puck this is called "DEFENSIVE HOCKEY". Offensive hockey consists of moving the puck under control from your defensive zone to the offensive zone by setting up a series of 2 on 1 situations. More on these next week. |
