NEI GONG

Neigong is used to build up the internal alignments. Best to develope the Intent (Yi) first. Hsing Yi and Yinian practice sufficient Internal Qi, and exercics Yi.

The dantian, three inches below belly button, once developed is like a leather ball. Dantian becomes the place where all Internal Qi of your body gathers, it's like electric field. Qi - which is sometimes felt as a stream of heat - flows from:

  • Hui Yin Point through lumbar vertebra,
  • cervical vertebra,
  • Bai Hui Point (the hot feeling is extremely strong there),
  • Mu Quan Point,
  • Tian Mu Point,
  • Ren Tong Point.
The most difficult place for Qi to pass is where Ren and Du Vessels meet - you have to keep the mouth closed and the tongue has to touch the roof of your mouth. Breathing through the nose is preferrable, although sometimes in Long Fist Boxing, after some have to use the mouth to catch one's breath, after powerful moves. The Qi flows down back to Dantian and completes one full circle - Small Heavenly Circle (Xiao Zhou Tian).

The heart moves like fire rising. The liver moves like an arrow flying. The spleen moves the qi to consolidate like a ball. The lungs move with the sound of thunder. The kidneys move like lightning; dodging.

Classes will include Wei Dan (external), and Nei Dan (internal). Hsing Yi Nei Gong is used for the tuning of martial qi. Tongzi Gong is used for balancing soft and hard energies; to purify and nourish the qi.
