Northern Shaolin
Lineage

Starting point for this chart will be since the Burning of Honan Shaolin Temple 1732 AD. Even though there are other names in the lineage, the chart will only reflect names that are directly related to us.

There are two theories. Theory I is pre-World War II and is documented. Theory II is what many current people believe. However I have not seen any documentation to support theory II.

Theory I

Monk Chih Yuan --> Feng Shao Chen --> Hsu Wen San --> Yim Po --> Yim Chih Wen (Big Spear Yim) --> Kuo Yu Chang (Iron Spear Kuo) (1890-1951)--> Yim Shan Wu (1887-1971) --> Wong Chia Man (1941- )

Theory II

Monk Chao Yuan Ho --> Kan Feng Chih --> Wan Pang Tsai --> Yim Chih Wen --> Kuo Yu Chang --> Yim Shan Wu --> Wong Chia Man

Given that for every 100 years, there are two generations. Seven Star Praying Mantis style comes up to about the same number of generations (post burning of Shaolin).
