The Start....
Australia's first horses ariived here in 1788. Because of the harsh conditions and limited knowledge only the strongest survived.
Many died in the voyage to the new land. Once arrived they were used for farm work, transportation, and later the remount trade.
Due to inadequate enclosures many escaped and turned ferel. When machinery came into the picture most were abandoned and left to
fend for themselves. And they did. Quite well, actually. Now they can be found in the wild in varying sizes, conformation, and color.
The first of the wild brumbies was Noble. He rounded up loose and deserted mares and formed the first ferel herd.
Now as the horses are thriving many more stallions are being born and starting their own herds.
The quest to become the strongest is perilous and often dissapointing.
Will You take that challenge?
