Life is like a rose
When it opens up it looks soft, beautiful, and full of serenity
But when you close in upon it, you find just how complex it is with its twists and turns
If you were to prick your finger on a thorn you would be adding to its beauty
For a thorn is one of a rose's many defenses, the other being its beauty
If you were to stop and cherish it, only then would you understand it
So until that time, Life will remain a rose
And the rose will remain the path to Life
