48 was a blank black page with Amon written on it.

49 was the cover to the second part. It has Amon floating over the cross Akira had been standing on but the entire area around it has been gouped. Some damaged buildings in the background, and in the further back ground there are some whole buildings with lights on. It has become night and the moon is out behind Amon. (Look at the scan)

Man: What on earth is happening in Japan? Who or what could cause this?!!

[The person standing in front of the large display screen has turned around and is holding his arms in a questioning manner. He is also shouting at the other guy there. He is revealed to be an old man with past the shoulders white hair and a beard and mostashe. He is dressed in some sort of uniform. I'll call him Fanatic.]

Fanatic: What in the name of God has come to pass?!

[The other guy, Nerd, is still typing away. He has got on very thick glasses and appears to have either very close cropped hair or a shaved head. He is wearing that uniform as well but has on a plain tie rather than one showing rank.]

Nerd: I don't know... But it's happening in other places now...

Nerd: The demon approach is following a path....

(I think what he is saying here is that the data is not a computer malfunction. What they are seening and sensing is actually occurring.)

Nerd: The Kanto area of Japan, Hokkaido... And now SABARIN... It's started going west...

Nerd: Siberia... Still going west... It's traveling incredibly fast and making unbelievable progress.

(I have written SABARIN here because I don't know where they are referring to. I think I am being incredibly dense with geography here.)

Nerd: That's how it stands....

(I think he is complaining that they should have consulted them first. Either that or the Vatican doesn't approve of the Special Demon Troops and thinks the job should remain their sole perrogative.)

[Fanatic is stomping his way around Nerd's work station to face him. Fanatics back is to the display screen.]

(He means that the Vatican is the first and last line of defense against demons and no one else should take the role.)

[Panel of Nerd looking quite surprised. He is turning in his work station and isn't typing. Instead he is removing an ear piece from his ear. He had been listening to the news or something.]

Nerd: Absurdity...

Nerd: Good heavens but it seems that the humans have destroyed themselves...

(Basically I think he is trying to say that Akira is not completely gone because they were able to escape from Amon. And right after I name the Guy Blondie I get a name (Typical!) Meriken-jou is I think the other guys name. The jou part means lock or padlock. Don't know what the Meriken bit means.)
