He then regenerates wing spikes, pointy things protruding from his back that could develop into wings, and then picks up his severed arm and reconnects it to his body. Amon, like Devilman Akira can heal any wound but that doesn't mean he doesn't feel the pain of them.]

Amon: It's been... A long time (Since I had to fight this well/Since I was injured like this (Take your pick of what he is meaning here.))
[Amon continuing to heal himself as he continues on towards Satan. Satan hasn't moved and still has his eyes closed. Definitely saddened though. (I'll explain my thoughts on this later.)]

[Pretty much Amon's entire right side has become a wound, splitting him down the middle. And he falls back down, flat on his face before Satan.]

(THIS particular line caused me more headaches than the rest of the entire translation. It was one of the first parts I translated and I STILL don't know what exactly is being said here. The kanji, as I understand it is meet secretly or lovers meeting, so you can see how I can get the two translations. I have put both in because I really don't know which one it should be. If anyone knows, PLEASE tell me since this is a rather important section. I have my own preference of course but I am willing to be reluctantly over ruled. Sorry for making such a long note, and back to the translation.)

Thoughts and Notes.
While it may seem stupid for Amon just to leap to attack Satan, in my opinion it was probably the wisest course of action. Although Amon does have some telepathic powers I doubt he could take on Satan who relies on those powers. Satan is a demon who fights using telepathy, and Amon is one who fights using his body, that's why he is covered with extendable spines and blades. So for Amon to win against Satan he had to get close enough to him to inflict damage upon Satans body which doesn't have any defenses against physical injury. Satan has a human body with wings, no armour and no claws to attack. It's merely a matter of how they have evolved. In all probability if Satan didn't have his mental powers Amon would win because in a physical fight he is clearly superior. Oh well...
Now, when Amon is saying that he is seriously injured I believe he is trying to say that Akira is interferring with his fighting ability. It's also begging for mercy without actually begging. It probably is what moved Satan and probably why Satan was sad at attacking Amon. He gives Amon mercy because he loves and wants to rescue Akira and he was sad because he didn't want to inflict the damage on Akira in the first place.
And if you haven't noticed by now I really am a Satan/Akira fan! That is why I'm not likely to translate more of Amon. Akira's not in it! Satan is handsome and while the story does look interesting Volume two, except for the last little bit really didn't grab my attention that much. As I said, Volume three is going to have to be really really impressive before I do anything.
