One day a small boy was walking through the woods, looking for firewood for his family. He was minding his own buisness, when suddenly he heard wolves nearby. Now around this small village wolves have hurt many people, and although he had his small knife that he normally cut firewood with, he was scared. So he ran away, as fast as he could, back toward the village. But wolves are much faster than humans are, and so the wolves were beginning to catch up to him. Just as the boy came into the view of the village, he turned and saw the wolves. They were normal in size and appearance, but to the boy they looked monstrous, with their big golden eyes and shaggy gray fur. As he was looking back, he tripped on a root, and fell to the ground. As he was beginning to give up hope, he heard a terribe roaring scream and he looked up into the sky. He couldn't believe what he saw! The wolves also looked up too, and were scared. Just as the wolves were about to pounce on the boy, a great white dragon had swooped in, all claws and teeth. The wolves were scared and so they ran off. The boy was scared too, but because he'd hurt his ankle he couldn't run. The large dragon scooped up the boy in its claws and carried the boy off to its lair.
News of what happened raced across the countryside, and many of the people were scared. They decided that if the dragon did have the boy, then they should slay the horrible monster and return the boy to safety. And so the small village gathered all the men with their swords and bow and arrows and other weapons, and marched off to the mountain, where it was said the dragon lived.
They walked for a very long time, because the mountian was very far away. But eventually they got there. The father of the boy walked to the frount of the group and yelled out, "Dragon! Give back my son and thou shall not be destroyed!" The boys father was lying to the dragon, because as we all know they wanted to slay the dragon reguardless.
After a minute or two nothing happened. Then slowly they saw in the cave two glowing green lights with black slits in them. The lights blinked, and they realized that these were the eyes of the dragon. The glowing lights began to get bigger, and they were afraid because that meant that the dragon was getting closer. Then the dragon came out into the light. Its white scales gleamed like opals in the sunlight, and as it stretched its transleucent wings and yawned, they became more fearful because they saw how big and sharp its teeth were. Then it looked down at them and gave a might roar, which made some in the back so scared that they ran home.
But the father was determined not to leave, not after this beast had given its war cry, or so he thought. He charged the dragon, sword pointed at its heart. When he reached the dragon, his sword clanked off its scales like a spoon tapping on a glass. The dragon screeched in surprise at the ting on its hide, and went back into its lait, its tail flailing behind it like a willow branch in the wind. The father took this as a retreating symbol, and rushed in after the dragon, his tiny army following behind him.
The dragon heard the scuffling on the floor, and turned around to see the army rushing towards it. It started to back away, but was overcome by the villagers, and they killed the dragon. They forgot about what they were there for, and cheers went up that the evil dragon had been slain, and that their village was safe once more.
But as they were cheering for their victory, the young boy awoke from all the noise. He limped towards the entrance, because the dragon had meticulously put a make shift brace on his lef. He finally turned the corner and saw the large dragon slain, and was very sad. Becuase twhen the dragon had scooped him up and taken him away, it was because it'd seen the boy in trouble, and was carrying him to safety. The dragon had fed him and kept him company, because when he was well the dragon would have returned the boy to his village.
