Sailor Moon R pt1

In the first half of the R season, we find all the scouts still don't remember each other after the battle with Queen Beryl. During the night, a suspicious meteorite lands in Tokyo. A large crowd gathers to look at it, and all the scouts end up seeing each other... but they still can't remember ever meeting!

Meanwhile, two new "people" have moved into the top floor of an apartment building. Their names are Ann and Alan...they are aliens looking for energy to help the Doom Tree survive. If the Doom Tree dies, they die. They have a handfull of cards with pictures on them called "Cardians", Alan summons a Cardian by playing his flute and the Cardian comes forth to do their bidding.

That night, they send one of their Cardians to suck energy from those "pathetic humans." The Cardian attacks Molly, Serena's best friend. Knowing that Serena cannot beat the monster as a normal teenager, Luna uses the "Luan Mind Meld" and reveals all that has happened to Serena and that she is Sailor Moon. Remembering everything, Serena thanks Luna and quickly changes into Sailor Moon and defeats the monster. Even though Serena wished she could just be a normal teenager, Serena was glad that Luna had given her memories back. And she hoped that the other scouts would remember too.

The next day Ann and Alan start their next energy draining plan. A movie studio has video taped people they want to see in their next movie. Molly and all of the scouts, except Serena, are invited for a try out at the studio. Ann and Alan take over the studio and plan on getting the girl's energy. When they arrive, the scouts introduce themselves to each other. Serena shows up with Molly and becomes teary-eyed at the sight of her BEST friends. As they enter the studio (Serena wasn't allowed) they find themselves on what looks like a Sci-fi set. They soon find out that it is not a set, but the real thing! Ann and Alan stand on a pillar high in the air and call their next Cardian to drain the girls' energy. (Molly, as usual, is the first to get zapped, and is unconsious for most of the fighting.)

At that moment, Serena walks in and Luna tells her to change into Sailor Moon. As the scouts watch Sailor Moon fight the Cardian, they seem to get flashbacks of their memories. Finally, Luna tells them they can help Sailor Moon, and that they are Sailor Scouts too. Luna again performs the Luna Mind Meld and show them the recent past. All of the scouts are happy to have their memories back and help Sailor Moon defeat the Cardian.

With their memories restored, the scouts try to second guess their new enemy...but Serena is rather distracted. She remembers that she was once the Princess of the Moon Kingdom, and her relationship with Darien. The only problem is that Darien hasn't regained any of his memories! Plus there are two new students from "France" at school...their names are Ann and Alan!! All the girls at school are falling over themselves to get Alan's attention...but he takes one look at Serena and gets a crush on her. Then when Serena follows Darien home, she runs into Ann, who then runs into Darien and Ann gets a crush on him! Then Ann gets mad at Alan for liking someone besides her and vise versa! (This continues through the whole series)

Because Darien doesn't remember anything about his past, he doesn't remember being Tuxedo Mask. But as the series continues and Ann & Alan are still being defeated by the Sailor Scouts, a mysterious man continues to come to the scouts' rescue, just like Tuxedo Mask, but he calls himself the Moonlight Knight! Even though he's dressed in a sheick's robe and turban, he looks oddly familiar...

As time goes on, Serena and Darien become closer (he doesn't tease her as much and seems to enjoy being around her). By the end of the series, he's become almost protective of her! Anyway, Ann and Alan find that the Doom Tree is dying even though they give it more and more energy. When Serena goes to their house one day to check on Ann (who hadn't been to school recently) she is attacked by the Doom Tree when she tries to go snooping in Alan's room. Ann tells her it's one of Alan's "science experiments." The little bit of Serena's energy that the Tree got seemed to help it, so Ann wants to give the Tree more but Alan is caught between his infatuation with Serena and saving the only thing that keeps them alive.

Later on, Darien is bringing Ann flowers because he heard she was sick. On the way there, he runs into Serena. She tries to stop him from going up there because she's jealous of Ann and because of the thing that attacked her, so she says she will go with him. When they arrive, they are greeted by a very cheerful Alan and a very unsick-looking Ann. Of course, she immediately cheers up when she sees Darien with flowers for her. As they sit drinking hot chocolate, Ann says she wants to have some "girl" talk with Serena, so the guys retire to the patio. Ann talks to Serena about the plant in Alan's room and tells her that she wants to see what it is, but she's afraid to do it alone. So Ann leads Serena to the door...and shoves her in, telling the cardian Fourface to drain her energy!

Meanwhile the scouts are trying to get inside the building, but the vines of the tree have grown to cover the outside of the apartments!! Mars hits a wall with "Mars Fire Ignite!" and blasts a hole for them to fit through. They are chased down a hallway by the vines and climb up the elevator shaft because the elevator doesn't work and the vines are almost apon them.

Back in the apartment, Darien runs into Alan's room shouting, "what's going on?!!" Then the scouts show up and try to defeat the tree, but are easily shot down by the tree. As Darien tries to save Serena, Ann and Alan (back in their alien forms) each give the Doom Tree different orders. Alan is trying to get the Doom Tree to let Serena go and take Darien instead, while Ann is doing the opposite. Eventually, the Doom Tree grabs both Serena and Darien and drains their energy. Alan runs to the tentacle holding Serena while Ann goes to Darien. Each cries out, "Let them go!!"
