| I love to make handmade cards! I have given away or used myself most of what I have made. I recently decided to start scanning them to this webpage so I don't have to reinvent the wheel every time I need a "new" card! More to come! If you have an idea for me or feedback on what you see here, please email me at [email protected] |

| Father's Day - another one I made just messing around with scraps and my new letter stamps. I have discovered that vellum tears really pretty if you tear one direction, but if you tear it 90degrees to that, it tears VERY boring as evidenced by this card. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| My nephew's birth annoucement. This was a digital picture of him converted to black and white. I then applied the 'photocopy' filter in Adobe Photoshop and printed on vellum. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| This is my Christmas card for 2003. I found the design on the Heartprints Gallery (www.heartprints.net). It's made up of blue paper stamped/embossed with white snowflakes underneath white vellum stamped/embossed with white snowflakes. The snowflake charm is actually a white button with glitter on it I found at Michaels in the Christmas dept and I snipped off the "hole" in the back. That, plus the bows/ribbon, are attached with a glue gun. The whole assembly is then stuck onto a white card. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This one is made with metal rimmed circle tags from the office supply store - a bit pricey at $6.50 for 50 tags. I pulled the jump rings off the tags and attached them to the red background with silver eyelets. Then I stamped them with small Christmas-y images. The 'season's greetings' was just printed on my computer on white cardstock and cut out. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| This card is so cute and so inexpensive to make. I used some Making Memories charms as my embossing pattern and dry embossed the vellum. Then, I trimmed around the bottom and used a tiny dot of glue to adhere to the red background. I cut slits through both layers with a craft knife and threaded the 6" piece of ribbon through and tied in a double knot (covering the glue). | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Welcome Baby - This has a little tag that slips in and out of a vellum pocket. The fibers at the top of the card were really soft and snuggly. I made it for a guy in my group whose wife had a baby and we had a shower for him at work. It was hard for me to make a card when I didn't know the baby's name or even the sex!!! | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Snowman - Normally would have 4 eyelets - wasn't complete at scan time. I stamped/embossed the snowman with white ink and white embossing powder. Then, colored in the accents with markers on the wrong side. On white cardstock. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Gift bag for giving cards to teachers, etc. for Christmas gifts. Tree design shamelessly lifted from my very creative friend, Lynsey! :-) Tied up with plaid ribbon. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Flag - I made this one in a class at the Great American SB Convention last June. Self-explainitory | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Name - I made this out of some scraps I had handy after I got these little letter stamps. I just wanted to try them out. I think this would make a cute gift - sets of these. And they are WONDERFUL for using up scraps! I think I'll make these for both my girls some day when I have some extra time (yeah, RIGHT!) so they can use them to write their thank yous for Christmas/birthday gifts. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Baptism - this was Jenna's baptism invitation. It was 2-step stamp set. I stamped the leaves/stems with bleach, then the daisy flowers with bleach then let dry. Then re-stamped the daisy flowers in pink. You can tell a few places where the ink was bleached out. I think this was because the bleach was not TOTALLY dry in those places. It *felt* dry to the touch, but maybe I should have let them dry overnight anyway to be sure. Could have been slightly damp in there somewhere. This idea was adapted slightly from an idea that appeared in Creating Keepsakes magazine (somewhere around March 2003). |
