the lights dim and the voices recede as i travel this solitary journey on a road i know far too well - the destination should read: HELL. the trip is long and painful and the only companions i share are the voices within me who keep me spellbound and tied down and faithful to this retrograde. along the way i see roadsigns and bilboards of memories past and what's to come - the words are dark, the faces unfamiliar and dirty. the scrolling marquees play silent scenes of tragedy and hate and it looks as if i'm playing the doomed role of the martyr.
