Anger is a hot stovetop, easily disguised
to hide the fury, the heat.
Its sound is an overhead airplane that's
roaring, booming, drowning out everything else.
It tastes like red-hots or stinging bland tea
and smells of sweat, blood, smoke.
It makes you feel invincible, living a dream
where kryptonite doesn't exist.
