Suspended in a world of delirium
Elevated above the carpet,
I only know I'm unaware and scared.
I try to rach out for the doorway,
An outlined rectangle on the wall -
Try as I may, I cannot reach
For a darker shadow hovers over me.
It weighs me down so I can't move
And leaves me no choice but to surrender -
A dream deferred, a life defiled.
