The moonlight pierces the night
Only when the clouds give it a chance
I hear you outside my window
The breeze brings the scent of you
It lingers in the hallways
Wafts through the rooms
And I sit waiting ever so patiently
Waiting for your touch
So I know it'll be okay
But longer still you keep me
Testing my heart and soul
Teaching me of love and patience
I end up creeping down the hall
For life is too short to waste anticipating
And I won't wait any longer
As I grow uneasy in your presence
I fight impulses I never knew
