The Sazarac Cocktail is the most underrated drink in America. This drink dates back to the dawn of the cocktail as a category of alcoholic drinks. Concocted by Antoine Peychaud in his New Orleans apothecary shop in 1793, it was based on Peychaud¡¦s Bitters. Peychaud mixed his bitters with a cognac called Sazarac de Forge et Fil, hence the name of the drink.
