Troubleshooting
This page is intended for me getting help with problems I am having with my trains from the manufacturers.  I will give them, and others, this page to come to in order to get help from them.  Hopefully by me posting pictures here it will be easier to troubleshoot them.  Thanks
N SCALE TRAINS TROUBLESHOOTING PAGE
The problem with this one is that brand new, out of the box, the front light is overheating the top of the case and is melting/deforming it next to the flashing LED.  As you can see by the photo, it is the yellow spot just forward from the LED.  This is where the yellow base plastic is showing through the melted/disfigured grey paint.  Other than this one problem, this engine runs like a champ.  I just wish it was as fast as my Atlas engines.  If you have any suggestions as to why this melting would happen please email me at [email protected].  Is this a common problem with this engine?  I have heard that it is...thanks
Case Resolved:  Bachmann replaced unit under warranty.... Thanks Bachmann!  May 2003!
