"So...you want me to pose as your girlfriend," at this he nodded his head,
"Go to a party so you can show off this lie," again a nod, "and play a dating
game with them?" One more nod came from the robed gay man. She took a deep
breath and exhaled, closing her eyes.

Darien could feel his muscles tighten as she stayed that way for a few
more minutes. The suspense of this was terrible. It was consuming him and his
conscience nagged at him, yelling that this could ruin their entire relationship
if she didn't do it.

He studied every feature of her face from the three beauty marks on her
left cheek to her swelled eyelids. He looked away. The sickness had really taken
away her ability to make him stare at her.

While this took place, a battle took place inside Serena herself. Was she
willing to pretend to be his girlfriend without being caught up in the moment?
Of course she could if she kept proving to herself that he wasn't straight by
doing the unfortunate task of imagining him with another guy. 'EWWWWWW!!'

She shook the thought away and looked at him. His dark blue eyes were
begging with her, revealing just how much this was going to mean to him. 'I know
I'm going to regret this...'

"I'll do it."

Darien couldn't believe it. She was going to do it. She was going to do
IT!! He felt his body go into shock and he was brought out of it by her
laughing. His happy smile turned into a scowl when she didn't reply.

"What's so damn funny?"

Her words were incomprehensible but he could see that she was pointing at
his crotch. He was shocked at what he saw.

"I'll be damned," he deadpanned.

He'd pissed his pants.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Darien was glad he didn't have to sit and listen to Serena make in fun of
him for his bladder problem. She'd fainted a few moments later with a fever of
101 degrees. It was going down now and was at a stable 99.6 degrees.

He'd changed for hygiene's sake and was sitting next to his sick friend on
the bed. She was half under the covers and half over with the material scrunched
up at her mid-thigh. Her breathing was steady and quiet which brought to his
mind another thing he enjoyed about her company; she never snored.

The dark-haired man now looked to the shower with longing eyes. He felt
so... *un-clean* for some reason. (Jac- I wonder why.) The girl that slept next
to him had just wrapped her pale arms around his waist, pinning him to the spot.
She mumbled a sentiment in her sleep and ended the sentence with a slight smile
on her face. 'God, she looks like an angel like this.'

The smile grew larger and soon came with mumbled laughing. She flipped
onto her back to laugh even harder and soon she'd come back into conciousness
with tears in her eyes. Darien feared the disease had gone to her head.

"Serena... SERENA!!" he yelled at her shaking form.

The laughs subsided and two pale eyes looked up at him in a questionable
way.

"Can I ask you a question?"

"Uh, sure Sere. Shoot."

"Is that my name? Sere? Or is it short for something?" she asked while
sitting up to get a good look around.

"I get it. Cute Serena."

Her gaze settled on him and she gave him that look again.

"So it's Serena. That's a pretty name I guess. Kinda plain though. Can I
have a different one please?" He searched her eyes for any hint of humor but
there was none. Just simple curiousity. Now this was getting too weird.

"Do you mean to tell me that you don't remember anything?" he asked filled
with hope at what it could mean.

"No. Should I?"

He felt like he could sing. Like he could just soar into the sky and land
on the moon. This couldn't have happened at a better time.
Thank whatever was up there looking out for him. Now, time to bait her.

"No dearest. Your name is... Carmen and I'm your boyfriend Darien. Now,"
looking straight into her eyes he touched her face as a lover would.

"Who am I?"

"Darien."

"And who are you?"

"I'm Carmen, your girlfriend. Are we in love with eachother?"

Darien had tears in his eyes as he looked at her from all the joy he felt
at her flightyness. She mistook them for tears of sadness at her loss of memory.

"Yes, -choke- very much." After this scene he pulled her into his arms and
she began to cry with him, only for a different reason. The man she was in love
with smelled like shit.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

The next few days went by like a flash for our young couple. Darien spent
all the freetime he could showing her their favorite spots and where he had
first met her. The story he'd come up with was along the lines of any other
romantic story line. He met her at the subway asking for directions, he invites
her to dinner, they date awhile and finally move in together. She was like putty
in his hands.

"Carmen" was having the time of her life. After the guy showered he wasn't
that bad. In fact, he was one of the most romantic guys she could think of from
her small memory. A few flashes would come to mind but they were small she'd
never thought they were of who she really was.

The first real flash that she got something from was their second night
together as they sat atop the Empire State Building looking for the predicted
meteor shower.

As the first few sparkles of light streaked across the sky, she was
suddenly somewhere else, alone. A mirror image of herself was scurrying around
with an apron on taking orders from an attractive brown-haired man. No matter
how much she tried, the person's name or the lettering on the apron were
impossible to make out.

Then, just as soon as it had come, it was gone and she caught Darien's
gaze as the meteor shower continued for the next minute or so.
The twinkle and joy in his eyes as he looked at her had wiped away the small
memory for the rest of the night, though her attitude was slightly apprehensive
at moments.

Once the pair returned home, Serena leaned against the counter as Darien
walked past into the bedroom to change clothes. As he shut the door and the
light from it spread patterns across the floor, the memory played once again
through her eyes.

Something clicked during that flash and she noticed something that had
passed her the night before. He never said he loved her. Joy was in his every
look but never love. His gestures were more friendly than loving.

"Oh my god," she whispered while her voice broke and tears formed in her
eyes. Sliding to her knees she began to weep loud and broken cries that caused
the male counterpart to emerge from the bedroom.

"Sere- Carmen? What's wrong?" He reached to pull her into his embrace but
got his hands slapped away. She looked up into his eyes and he was startled by
the millions of emotions that were running through them. They were like windows
to her very soul.

"Darien, I want you to be honest with me. Is their another woman? Are you
cheating on me?"

Darien opened one of his eyes, then both at the question. Their was a
little inkling behind it, a purity he hadn't expected from her.

"You silly girl. Come here." He opened his arms and threw her his
"dazzling" smile. She wiped away a few of the tears while throwing herself into
his toned arms.

He hugged her back and tensed when her arms started to move. Down, down,
around his thighs, into his sweatpants....

"AHHH! Get your hand out of their!!" he screamed at her while shooting to
the opposite side of the apartment.

"Well, I thought we could celebrate. Rock the cazbah. Do the horizontal
mombo. Make some hotdogs the way we born to? Am I getting through here of do I
have to explain this in more detail." His eyes were blank and she took that as a
yes.

"See Darien. You have a thing called a penis. Say it with me now. P-E-N-I-
S."

"P-E-N- Hey wait a minute. I know what I have. I'm not some idiot that
didn't pass anatomy."

"Really? Well, then there's only two other explanations as to why you
don't want to do it with me. Now either a; your gay, or b; your have what female
physiciatrists call E.S.P.S." she told him as she sat on the nearby couch.

"What the hell is E.S.P.S.?" he asked while joining her on the other end.
She took her time to re-arrange the blanket, covering herself and propping the
pillow behind her back. Turning to stare at the man, she smirked and filled with
glee at her perfect analysis of the situation.

"It stands for
  E.xtremely
  S.mall
  P.enis
  S.yndrome."

"Oh," he replied as while taking it in. Then it made it through.

"HEY! WHO ARE *YOU* TO SAY I HAVE PROBLEMS WITH THE FACT THAT I HAVE A
SMALL PENIS?! HELL, IT'S NOT THAT SMALL ANYWAY."

"Oh my god," the blond whispered at the news she'd just wriggled out of
him. "Oh my GOD!!"

Darien sank in humliation until his chin rested upon his chest. He
couldn't believe the fact that he had just revealed. Talk about karma biting him
in the ass. Just because he manipulated his friends amnesia for his own devices
doesn't mean he deserved this. It was too much and now Serena was going to pay.

"You know Carmen," he said with as much control and dignity as he could
muster. "You always liked it that way. Said it was less intimidating."

She looked at him like he had a boobs.

"Are you telling me that I was intimidated by something I could crush with
one of my college textbooks?"

'Shit, now what am I going to tell her? Think, think, THINK!!'
He formed tears in his eyes while secretly digging his fingers into his sides.

"If that's how you feel Serena. I, I understand," he croaked while running
into the bathroom and locking the door behind him. It was a few moments before
the sound of feet running to the door was heard, followed by a knock.

"Darien, baby, I'm sorry. I didn't mean it. If you don't want to do it, we
don't have to. Just open the door and we can go to bed. You promised to take me
shopping for an outfit to wear to the party tommorow night."

She stared at the door and prayed it would work. It had to.

With painstaking slowness, Darien opened the door and stepped out. He gave
her a small smile before wrapping his arms around her and walking together into
the bedroom.

Later, as the two were settling into bed, Serena had laid on her stomach
and stared at Dariend for a few minutes before saying what was on her mind.

"Sweetie. If your so ashamed of it, why don't you buy a Swedish Penis
Enlarger or something."

"God, Carmen," he moaned.

"I'm serious. It might feel weird when the suction pulls at it but after
that there's no more humiliation."

"Good-NIGHT Carmen."

"Darien, I'm sure there are some specialty stores that sell them and maybe
it'll be on sale-"

"I said good-night!!!!"

"I guess your temper's as short as your penis."

"EXCUSE ME?!"

"Good-night Darien."

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

The rest of the night went by smoothly except that at about 3 in the
morning a fire-alarm went off making them both sit outside on the stairwell for
an hour waiting for the firemen. During the entire period they didn't say a word
to eachother and Serena started to feel bad for her comment. They may have both
been firing comments but she'd gone to far. Every girl, with or without amnesia,
should know that men are very sensitive when it comes to *the* subject.

"Darien?"

Silence.

"I'm sorry. We don't want to go to the party tomorrow, well today, in a
bad mood. Neither of us will have any fun. C'mon, what do you say?"

His blue eyes gazed sideways at her before they filled
with warmth and she was pulled into his embrace.

"Okay. Now let's go to bed."

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

The duo awoke to the sounds of honking horns and obscenities, but they
didn't care. Both were too happy with how their lives were at the moment. Serena
was in love with a man she had been told she loved and Darien was going to smack
Andrew in the face with jealousy. Yep, all was well.

"Carmen," he called from the kitchen where he was cooking them both
breakfast.

"Yes," she replied clad in a simple pair of jeans and blue T-shirt.

"I just wanted to tell you to get ready. I have a little surprise for
you."

"Really," she asked raising an inquisitive brow.

"I booked for you to have your hair, nails, feet nails-"

"Toe-nails Darien."

"-and make-up done down the street at your favorite salon."

"Sounds great. I'll get my coat."

"Wait. What about breakfast?" he pouted having slaved to make the perfect
eggs and bacon.

"Throw it away. It's too greasy anyway."

He scowled at her back and made some funny faces before
flipping her off.

"Flipping me off isn't going to make those eggs throw themselves away."

Darien gawked for a few seconds, then threw them away. He knew mothers had
that kind or radar but Serena? He shivered and went to get his keys.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

He could shoot himself. Really, just give him a gun he'd do it right now.
Two and a half hours had gone by and she was still in that place. Never again
would he do this. Not only had he waited there the entire period but he had to
pay to do it.

"Mr. Shields?"

"That's me."

"Here she is."

A curtain was pulled and the sight before him was indescribable. There she
was, his Serena, looking sexier than Carmen Electra. Her hair was curled and
pulled into little ties at each side of her head. Her makeup brought out her
eyes and her lips were the deepest shade of red he'd ever seen. It was odd
because he felt slightly attracted to a girl for the first time in a year.

"Wow."

"Yes, that's the usual reaction we get here Mr.Shields. Now will you be
paying with cash, check, or credit?"

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

For the second time today, Darien wished he could shoot himself. How did
he get himself in these situations. They were at the mall and she was trying on
the millionth outfit at the millionth store.

"Serena," he shouted through the dressing room door. "Just get whatever
you want as long as you find it within the next five minutes."

She walked out of the room and went up to the counter, signaling for him
to come and pay for it.

"I'm sorry for taking so long. Take me to the foodcourt and I'll make it
up to you."

As they walked out of the foodcourt, Darien was struck with the thought
that he wasn't hungry because they had both eaten before shopping. Why would she
be trying to make up for it with more food?

Just as our dark-haired male was going to ask her that,
Serena dropped to the floor and started to have spasms going through the right
side of her body. Moans of pain began to come from her mouth and he tried to get
to her. He was kicked in hit his lower area, sending him back into another
passerby.

People were flying all over the place as Serena's spastic legs kicked all
around. Clusters of twenty or more people lay on either side, moaning in pain.
Security men came running only to be forced into joining the fallen shoppers.

Suddenly she stopped. Sitting up, she brushed herself off and walked
towards the entrance. The people strewn on the floor looked at her back and
Darien ran to catch up with her, still in shock from what had just occurred.

"Carmen, what was that all about?"

"Hmm? What was what?"

"Are you really that blonde? The attack you just suffered."

"Oh, that," she laughed. "I was just having some fun. You should have seen
your face. It was priceless."

"No it wasn't. You scared me to death. Don't ever do that again."

"All right Mr. Overprotective. It was just a joke."

He rolled his eyes and opened the car door.

"You better not pull anything like this at the party."

"I won't. Get off my case."

A staredown insued. Both eyes seared coldly into the others. Serena slowly
brought her hand into his space and poked him in the nose. He didn't look away.
Trying again she poked him in his stomach. A small jerk but his gaze held.

'Fine. He want's to play tough, we'll play tough.' Her fingers formed C's
and together went to Darien's ears flicking them both with force. This would
have left Darien untainted if he hadn't just sat on the seatbelt clasp, pushing
up his anal cavity.

"Ah, I'm being perverted," he shouted not knowing that it was he himself
who had done such a deed. He sucked in a breath and moved away to look at
Serena.

"I win. Now drive."

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

The city lights had gone on long before the couple left for the party. It
was to take place at Andrew's place which was less than ten minutes away.

They stood in front of his door and she could tell that
he was nervous. It's pretty obious when his shaking leg has stepped on you toes
twelve times. "Ouch." Make that thirteen. She gave his hand a re-assuring
squeeze.

"Don't worry about it babe. It's just a party."

Before he could inform of it's significance the door was opened and they
were welcomed into the large apartment of Andrew Furuhata. Strobe lights hung
from the ceiling and music pumped from the surround sound speakers.

"Hey Darien!! Over here!!"

He squinted through the flashing lights and could just make out the
familiar size and shape of Andrew. His stomach gave a lurch at the sight of his
blonde hair. 'Lord help me.'

"Hey there Andrew. I'm sure you've met Serena."

He looked over at her and gave her hug, surprising Serena. She didn't
respond at first but leaned over to Darien and asked if she was close with this
man. Getting the answer she smiled and said it was good to see him again.

"So long have you two been going?"

'Dammit. He wasn't supposed to ask that question. I can't say the same
amount I told Serena. It wouldn't work because of the gap between when he broke
up with me.'

Darien being the lucky man he is got saved as another black haired man
approached.

"Hey Andrew, aren't you going to introduce me?"

"Sorry about that. Darien Shields this is Seiya Kou. Seiya this is Serena,
Darien's girlfriend."

"Nice to meet you," he said to Darien with a flirty smile. Darien returned
it with one of his own.

"I heard that you work in the computer industry. What's that like?"

Darien was led away by Seiya with this conversation, leaving Serena to be
on her own. The room was full of people she didn't recognize and she began to
fell a little self-conscious. Then she spotted some drinks.

*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*-*

Serena had finished her third glass of wine by the time
she decided to find Darien and ask if they could leave. The alchohal had hit her
brain quite awhile ago and she missed the conversation that had occured next to
her.

~*~Flashback~*~Five Minutes Ago~*~

"Okay Seiya. Great job. Now all I need you to do is..." the conversation
was left hanging to her sub-concious as Andrew had just whispered the last part
in Seiya's ears. The latter man grinned and Andrew pulled away.

"I didn't buy that bull about Darien going straight for a second. I'm glad
your here to help me pull it off."

"I'm always glad to help."

~*~End Flashback~*~

Serena looked around and asked a few of the other party goers if they'd
seen two dark-haired men with blue eyes. She was disapointed that everyone said
they hadn't.

The liquid hit her bladder and she decided to go to the bathroom before
looking for them further. There was a light on under the door and she tried the
lock to see if anyone was in their. It was unlocked and she walked in.

"Darien?"

There in the bathroom was her Darien and Seiya, half dressed making out in
the inside the bath tub.

"Darien!!!"

Her eyes drifted downward and she screamed out nine words before falling
to the ground.

"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING WEARING MY UNDERWEAR?!"
