Jack Tompkins turns 65!!!
Jack be nimble, Jack be quick .... Jack is turning sixty... FIVE ! ! ! * Friends * To me as a five year old or so,
there were a few fascinating things about Jack: the first was his chin!
We (David, Carrie and I) called it the 'butt-chin' as that's the best
way to describe it!
It's Jack's particular trait!I also loved to watch the colorful fish gliding around Jack's beautiful aquariums. He would tell me the names of the fish and we would contemplate their graceful movements in silence. Also I was intrigued by Jack's peace and how he cared for his garden, sometimes spending a whole afternoon 'watching his tomato plants grow' as he put it. That seemed funny to me as a lively kid on the move, but know looking back Jack had it all there: the essence of life! Living and enjoying the present moment by watching Nature. Thanks for this Jack! Happy Birthday! Love, Corinne Cassini Happy
Birthday Dear Jack!We wish your good health continues. We wish your dreams come true... We have really enjoyed spending time with Jack, both in Germany and Cincinnati. He's fun and curious, and it is great to know to have such so a lovely friend. Please come back soon, you are anytime welcome. (for a special note from Baerbel, click here.) ![]() I had such a fine time hanging out with Jack -- for over 17 years! -- before I went away to cat heaven in late 2004. Though Jack always complained that he'd been saddled with me after the kids went away, I know he secretly loved having me around. I think he should get another feline friend to keep him company during his fast-approaching retirement. -- Chester [ click on photos throughout for larger size ] ![]() Growing up, I always used to think Jack was the coolest dad ever! He liked MTV, had elaborate fish aquariums, took great pictures of Carrie and me (which I hope never resurface), and had this way of saying "Hi, Jenny" all funny. I'm not sure how to describe it exactly, but it always made me smile or laugh. I remember him taking Carrie and me to the rodeo. Carrie felt sorry for the little calves being all tied up, but we had a great time anyways dressed up as cowgirls! Happy Birthday Jack (aka...the most fun loving, free-spirited dad in the 80's... Woohoo!!) --Jenny Knecht JackDaddy,65?! But I've only known you for twelve years! In those years you have been so kind to me, always making me feel like part of the family. Thanks for all the times you've wined and dined us, the "crack of dawn" trips to the airport and quietly worrying about our crazy adventures. Thanks for paying me to "express myself" on your kitchen walls as I was trying to get my mural business off the ground. Thanks for your sound legal advice on matters of car insurance, car accidents, homeownership and tips on tax evasion. (kidding! kidding!) Mostly, thanks for being such a great dad to one of my best pals in the whole world, David. You should be very proud knowing that you helped shape such an amazing person. As I get to know you better its fun to see where David gets some of his great traits (albeit some on the neurotic side!). Congratulations on turning a fabulous 65! I really hope you make the best of your retirement and fulfill all of your dreams! -- Kimberly Happy Birthday, Jack! I am sending my very best champagne toast to the celebration! is a dear gentleman and I always look forward to
enjoying his company -- on or off the tennis court!I know this photo will bring back memories of Brandi eating tree seed pods when we were playing tennis-- and the thereafter mess in my car after we'd eaten dinner! Happy 65th Birthday to a great guy -- one whom I've always enjoyed being around, playing tennis with (and against), and all the neat dinners and get-togethers we've had over the years! You're a jewel! Love ya, Penny ![]() A New Year's 2006 memory from Sandy Matthews.... Happy 65th Birthday, Jack. We hate to see March getting close because you will be deeply missed. ![]() I have enjoyed our talks about sports, politics, religion, etc. There are few people who can discuss such subjects and not offend each other. I hope you have a wonderful birthday and I will be thinking of you at your daughter's on July 16, 2006! Gary, Dan and I wish you a very happy birthday! - Debbie, Dan, & Gary Cunningham Lindsey, U.S., Inc. ![]() We've had many good times with you, Jack. No matter how much I play, your hand-eye speed will always neutralize my efforts! --Paul> and Annie Naberhaus [ home ]
