| This is my newest acquisition. Its a 1919 Ford Model T Roadster. I bought it at an estate auction a few months back. Its fun to putz around in but requires quite a bit of tinkering to keep it running good. You also have to be able to pat your head with one hand and rub your stomach with the other in order to drive it. It has three pedals, clutch ( low, neutral and high positions), a reverse pedal , and brake pedal (a transmission brake). The spark advance and throttle are on the steering column. There is also an emergency brake/clutch release and last but not least, a shift lever for the two speed rearend. Pretty cool but also kind of intimidating at first. Im still learning. Well I sold the Model T in February of 2004. A gentleman in California that was born in 1919 wanted it very badly. I delivered it to him and he seemed thrilled to have it. He also had a 1932 Ford roadster that was very nice. |
