Steven Jackson - A Writer's Journey
Welcome to my writing world where you can see where my creativity takes me.
Writing Report - Monday, November 20th, 2006
This week was purely about Tennessee. It was on my mind, in my hands and the only thing I really cared about writing wise for the entire week. I am getting my play, The State Of Tennessee, ready to enter into the Fringe Fetsival's new play contest that starts to take entries as of November 27th. The winner gets a free spot in the Fringe this coming year so for 25 bucks, it is worth a shot.

It was interesting to see the play changed quite a bit this week. Todd helped me out immensely. We were driving to Ikea on Wednesday night and we discussed the play and things that worked and things that didn't. By the end of the trip, two actors were removed and the equivalent of two characters were taken out. Todd is great gauge of my work as he makes me explain why something has to be there and if I can't, then maybe it has to go. He says that he's not as much into plays, but he sure helped me out a lot this week. Goodbye dancing snake guy :)

Books I've Read:
1) Tennessee Williams by Dakin Williams - To get myself back into the world of Tennessee Williams, I read the biography written by his younger brother. A pretty good read, even if you know the rest of the story from other research.
