Writing Report: Saturday July 7th, 2006
Well an odd week for writing. I did some formating on Fathers And Sons which may sound like a really easy thing to do, so I will explain what I'm doing. It orginally looked like this:
TEDDY: No. I'm sure he will be fine. If he had wanted to get lost, he would have done so awhile ago. He inherited my sense of direction. Don’t worry. He'll come back. I think there's also a map in the car of the area, but it'll take a while to find it. You guys just set up your stuff and I'll be back in a bit. Italicized(Teddy leaves to where the vehicles are situated.) BOBBY: Italicized(Bobby starts to get the tent out of its package and rummages through.) Shouldn't take us long to get the tent up. At least don't think so. Usually have a set of instructions in these packages. CHARLES: Sure, Dad. Italicized(There is a silence between them.) BOBBY: You guys sure got along well. Didn’t have to talk so much about the plays though. CHARLES: That’s what I do. You don’t have to be embarrassed by them. Now here is what it has to look like, only on 105 pages later. :) TEDDY(centred No. I'm sure he will be fine. If he had wanted to get lost, he would have done so awhile ago. I started at 7pm on Wednesday and had to be finished and handed in by 7pm on Thursday. It was exhilirating, though I'm not sure how I feel about my play. I wrote a little bit about my experiences moving to Toronto by bus and while I liked what came out, I'm not sure if an audience will be intrigued. I definitely will go back and rework it a bit for a future work. 2006-07-10 02:44:09 GMT
