Yellow
-Coldplay-
~Look up at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And everything you do,
And they were all yellow.~
Kuja was a person who was never seen without a smile; except now. He lifted his eyes painfully to glance again at the globe that showed him Zidane's every move and action. It was currently displaying that adorable little tail that matched his own bouncing along as he fucked, no, sorry, "made love to" the Queen of Alexandria.
It was just too much to watch, but he felt an odd sense of duty to see this through his tear-streaked vision. HE was supposed to be the one spreading, holding, and loving the other genome! ...And he had felt it just once...
~I came along,
I wrote a song for you,
And all the things you do,
And it was called Yellow.~
"Are you...alive?"
He looked up into big beautiful blue eyes and pure yellow hair. Kuja couldn't even speak; he just dared and hoped that if he was going to die anyway here in this rat-hole tree he was going to die loving it. Stretching his sore neck upwards, he pressed his lips lightly to Zidane's.
The shock of initial invasion came and went, and the lips he'd begged for opened and responded. There was a God, and Garland wasn't it. Their tongues came together in a wild sparing that made Kuja sure he was dying then, if hadn't been before. They broke for breath hours before he would have liked to. "I'm sorry." He finally said, and desperate for that not to be his final statement, Kuja added quickly for fear of the permanent loss of air, "I love you. Everything I did, it was all because I loved you. I know that's a terrible thing to tell someone, but when you scorned me for the princess, I was so angry... That's the only reason I killed, was because I knew how much it would hurt you if I killed HER. You didn't even remember me..."
Zidane looked too shocked to say anything, so Kuja stole his lips again. When he looked up into the same drowning eyes, expecting hate, or disgust, or even anger; he saw none of them.
"I'm sorry I never noticed." Zidane smiled quietly and uncharacteristically. "Do you want to fix that?" He added a trademark wink.
~So then I took my turn
Oh what a thing to have done,
And it was all yellow.~
Kuja stared into the glowing orb again and broke into a new fit of tears, remembering his one night, when Zidane had just promised his love endless times. They'd both gotten rings, though, where hers was a gold band, his was a gentle red, a Rebirth Ring. When he was satisfied enough to die regretless, Zidane had put it on his finger, and with a smile and said, "Don't ever forget."
A few of his homicidal urges rose again when he drifted to sleep on her shoulder with that smirk that said he knew Kuja was watching. Without looking, Kuja threw an earth spell behind him and heard it make a large hole in the wall. He chipped two nails when he reached out and scratched lines down the floating round window. He didn't notice. Nor did he, when his make-up was smearing in tiny rivulets down his cheeks as he stormed through the door.
~You're scared, yeah,
Oh yeah, you're scared of ghosts,
Turn it into something beautiful,
Do you know I love you so?
You know I love you so.~
Zidane stirred lightly in his sleep, suddenly finding what was warm cooling too quickly to save. Princess Garnet Til Alexandros 17th was dead as a doornail, barely departed an hour, but already too far to recover. He knew before he even opened his eyes who had done it and who was standing at the windows, watching silently.
"For you, I lived, for you, she died. Something you never allowed me." Kuja played casually with the ring on his right hand. His sleek outline was reflected in the moonlight, though his voice was much less exerted than his face.
"Kuja, I can't believe you did that! I HATE you, couldn't you just die happily in a few months like you were supposed to?" Zidane bolted up from the soiled bed, grabbing his daggers on the way, and stomping over to Kuja bare-assed naked.
Kuja just looked at him and raised an eyebrow.
This only proved to evoke his anger further and the tears coursed roughly down his shaking face. "Well? That couldn't have been all you came for! What, did you want me to fuck you again?"
A slow and sultry smile crept across half-blue lips. "Actually, yes."
~I swam across,
I jumped across for you,
Oh what a thing to do,
Cause you were all yellow.~
"Ugnnnn!!! Ah! Yes, more! Harder! Oh God, please.......!" Zidane, despite his beginning reluctance, was quite enjoying himself. He never considered himself to be perverse other than slightly over the average promiscuous, but they were fucking, no, "making love", over Dagger's dead body. He was thrilled.
"Why, Zidane? Why did you have to leave me?" Kuja asked calmly as he thrust harshly down into Zidane's body. He was so bitter, and so lonely for so long, it was pleasant to even see his only love with his own eyes.
"I... didn't want to be the...Angel...of...Ahh... Again! Uh, mmmm..." Zidane was beyond most coherent thought at the moment, and even if he wanted to answer his lover, he couldn't have.
They came at the same time, both riding it out as long as they could.
~I drew a line,
I drew a line for you,
Oh what a thing to do,
And it was all yellow.~
Kuja came down first and Zidane slightly after, slumping into the older genome's arms as if he were melting. He was unconscious. Hefting the small nude boy over his shoulder, Kuja stepped out just the way he came, returning to the one place that took his dreams.
~You're scared, yeah,
Oh yeah, you're scared of ghosts,
Turn it into something beautiful.
Do you know?
For you I bleed myself,
For you I bleed myself dry.~
The small hollow of the Iifa Tree where they had been trapped remained unoccupied by animals, even insects stayed far from it. The old leaf itself was cold as Zidane was laid upon it, barely awakening from his deep sated slumber to notice a different crimson ring replacing his wedding band.
A small voice forced his eyes open, and he watched Kuja sitting just outside on a limb staring up at the stars. He turned and smiled back at Zidane before raising a shard of mirror to his own throat. "My memories will be part of the sky..." Kuja said as he died. He had never looked more beautiful.
~It's true,
Look how they shine for you...
Look up at the stars,
Look how they shine for you,
And all the things that you do.~
