To the common observer, Fleur appears to be a confident young woman who doesn't mind showing off a bit. To casual acquaintances, she can often seem capricious or amoral. Although she makes no effort to disguise her prominent demon horns, Fleur enjoys "playing human" and follows human customs and laws for her own amusement. Although Fleur is on good terms with most of the people she meets, winning them over with intelligent and captivating conversation, she tends to keep them at arms length emotionally. Though she has an outgoing personality, privately she is very studious, spending long hours poring over tomes with her reading spectacles. Despite her passionate exterior, Fleur is more likely to make decisions rationally and calculatingly, and is not easily won over by her emotions.
Brief History:
Most demons live in a separate world, knowing of the existence of humans, but preferring to not interfere with their doings. At a young age, Fleur left home on a whim to live among humans. After half a year of this, she returned to the demon world and her family, but vowed to return to the city someday. After a year of normal life, Fleur was summoned back to the human world by one of her former acquaintances, Heist, to ask if she was interested in a position as his assistant. Fleur agreed and accompanied him for a time on his adventures, during which they became close friends. They eventually parted ways, and Fleur settled in the city where she lives today. Although she has lived in the human world for several years now, she still considers herself more a tourist than an actual inhabitant of the city. Due to her magic amplifying skills, Fleur is in much demand as a mage's assistant, and has been able to earn a comfortable living in this manner.
Skills/Special:
As a demon, Fleur possesses the strong magic powers inherent to her race. In addition to knowing several powerful spells unable to be learned by humans, she is able to "amplify" the magic of others. When she concentrates, Fleur can direct the magical force of another caster into a precise focus, giving the caster's spell greater intensity. However, this is a great drain on her energy, and she cannot do it for a prolonged period of time. Though she is powerful magically, Fleur's physical combat ability is very weak. When magic is not an option, she fights with a small crossbow or a set of razor fans, but only as a last resort.
