Though my words were thunder
To your untouched ear.
And some of them were meant
To pull you under.
None of them were intended
To split us apart.

I once asked why
The people I care for most
I verbally abuse and scold.
Although you said,
You have nothing more to say.
I feel we agree
It's a cause to wonder.
Now that the milk has spilt,
Some say it's too late.
Though the thought leaves me numb,
I don't hesitate to disagree.
Not a day is spent
I don't cry quietly.

I once asked you why
When I contend it's true.
I long for a love to hold.
I choose instead to destroy myself
Maybe I refuse cause once I was told,
It could never be with you.

Though your silence is an arrow
Through my heart.
I can only say,live and let live.
Being human we can go astray.
Being humane I pray,
Someday we may forgive.
