I feel contempt for everyone,
Yet am afraid to be alone.
I feel disgusted with my life,
Yet am afraid to die.
I feel distrust and conspired against,
Yet am afraid to be self-reliant.
I feel pitiful and unworthy,
Yet am afraid I won't be loved.
I feel deprived and cheated,
Yet am afraid of my own anger.
I feel confused and lost,
Yet am afraid my boundaries are too well-defined.
I feel confined and restricted,
Yet am afraid there's no place to belong.
I feel so much ambivalence
That I don't know what I feel,
And of that, I'm most afraid.
