| JacknifeKid, that's us, if you've got this far you must be after more juice about the band! Jacknnife Kid was originally formed by 3 monkeys in 4001BC. Over the decades we evolved, new members joined, and musical instruments were invented, greatly adding to the sound. The present line up is formed to make timid listeners shout and holler with joy, cry with depression, and perhaps occasionally go mental with empathy. While not ones to pigeonhole themselves, think intelligent lyrics, unpredicatble changes, discordant riffs and excellent guitars. Mix in warm melodies and moments of insane catchiness to get an idea before checking them out live. The four-piece consists of Martin Wrigley on drums, Simon Manning on Bass, Jack Smith on vocals and guitar, and Ben Hooper on guitar and backing vox. Jack used to play solo gigs in places like the Amersham Arms, but he was happy to form a band as it is much more fun. Soon after the group were playing their first, slightly raw, but energised shows in dodgy SE London pubs. Ben Hooper joined to fill the void left by Neil Dondonaldson's departure, and has helped set the band on fire. JACKNIFEKID will stop playing the day people stop coming to see us play, so if you dont like us - don't come. Jacknife are available for partys and events, just contact us below: | |||
