Dining Room at Wyndemere: Stefan:Barbara, I was just thinking about before we got married the first time. You know, when we first met. Bobbie:That's a time I've tried to erase from my mind. I can't believe I was so stupid to believe all your lies. I mean, Iknew you had it out for my brother and yet it never once occured to me you were pursuing me to get at Luke. Duh! Stefan:It wasn't all fake. Remember the first time we met? You didn't know I was a Cassadine and I didn't know you were a Spencer. All I saw was a woman crying on her front stoop who I tried to cheer up. There was a real connection between us. Maybe it was us both being younger siblings. Bobbie:Thank you, Stefan, for bringing up on of the worst nights of my life. It was my birthday and that little tramp Carly had practically taken over my party. I'd just blown-up at her and was feeling sorry for myself because I'd been given a trip to a spa for my present. A gift little Carly suggested herself. Unfortunately, this birthday doesn't promise to be any better. Stefan:And what about when you learned your daughter was dead. I was there for you, then, too. Bobbie:To take advantage of the situation and sink your hooks deeper into me. Stefan:I may have had ulterior motives, but I was the one who helped you through that, not Luke. Byt the way, you never did tell me how you learned your daughter was dead. Bobbie:Luke told me Caroline's adopted mother, Virginia Benson, was mentally ill and Caroline had died in a car accident when she was 16. Why are you smiling? What are you up to? Stefan:My, Barbara, you are suspicious. Are you still pouting about me outsmarting you? Bobbie:You lead me to believe we had a deal. Stefan:Never assume anything. Unless all the I's are dotted and the T's crossed, it's not a deal. Consider that your first lesson in being a Cassadine. Kat(barges in)All right, Stefan, tell me how you did it? Bobbie:Do you ever knock? Can I make a suggestion, Stefan. Start instructing the servants to keep the doors locked. You never know what will creep in. Stefan:I always feel the same way when your brother pops up. (he turns to Kat)I'm afraid you're asking the wrong person. Barbara, would you care to enlighten Miss Bell. Bobbie:I simply convinced Dara you were an obsessive, manipulative witch. Not hard to do with your track record. Kat:This isn't over. If I can't get my revenge in a court of law, I'll find another way to get it.(she storms out) Jax's Penthouse: Brenda(on the phone)Well, check again. I'm sure Mr. Corinthos must have left me a message. Are you sure? Thank you. (Jax slams the door as he enters) Darling, what is it? Jax:I'm sick of everyone treating me like the town joke. Brenda:Darling, did someone say something to you? Jax:Corinthos' girlfriend called me leftovers and Venus said I was second best. I'm Jax. Businessmen cringe when I look in their direction because I'm Jax. I get the best tables in restaurants because I'm Jax. And the best suites in hotels because I'm Jax. There isn't any woman I can't have because I'm Jax. I'm not leftovers. I'm not second best. I'm Jax. Brenda:Darling, of course you're not. You're wonderful. Ask anyone in town and they'll tell you the same. Don't pay any attention to what that little witch says. I didn't when she insulted me. You know you're wonderful and I know you're wonderful and that's all that matters. Jason's Penthouse: V(answers the door to Sonny)Hello, Mr. Corinthos. Sonny:Miss Ardanowski, what are you doing here? V:I work for Mr. Morgan as one of his bodyguards. Sonny:You! V:Come now, Mr. Corinthos, you're not a male chauvinist pig, are you? Sonny:Hardly, I just remember the last time we talked you told me I wasn't a nice men and you hoped the police would nail me. Yet, now you're working for another not nice man, who perhaps is even more not nice than I am. V:I also didn't tell anyone what really happened in the swamps with the Tin Man, did I? Perhaps, that was the beginning of me becoming not so nice myself. Sonny:I hope you're telling the truth. I'd hate for you to find out just how not so nice I can be. And if you ever do anything to harm Jason, you will find out. Jason:Sonny, I thought I heard your voice. Sonny:What's she doing here? Jason:V, why don't you make yourself scarce. V:Yes, sir. Jason:To answer your question, I felt sorry for her. Jax fired her and she was a flop as a waitress, so I hired as my bodyguard. She's actually pretty good at the job. Sonny:I'm sure she is. I saw her in action in Tiger Key. I sure wouldn't want to meet up with her in a dark alley. But I also wouldn't turn my back on her. I don't trust her, Jason, and neither should you. Wyndemere: Stefan:Is this Virginia Benson? Hello, I'm Stefan Cassadine, Barbara's husband. I'm throwing a surprise birthday party for my wife and since Barbara mentioned you often and fondly, I was wondering if you could come? I would, of course, provide you with transportation to Port Charles. You can come. Good. We'll see you then.(he hangs up the phone, then picks it up again)Hello, Miss Roberts. This is Stefan Cassadine. I think you and I need to talk. About what? I really don't appreciate your tone. About Dr. Jones closeness to my wife. Everytime I turn around he's slavering after Barbara like some in heat toy poodle. I thought you'd feel that way. I'll be in touch when we can meet in private. Mrs. Lansbury:You summoned me, sir? Stefan:Yes, Mrs. Lansbury. We're going to have a little dinner party for Barbara's birthday. Aside from the family, there'll be Virginia Benson, Carly Roberts and the Spencer family. Jason's Penthouse: Jason:So, how does it feel to be back in your penthouse? Sonny:It's not mine anymore. It's weird. It's like visiting a place you no longer belong in. I lived in a lot of places since leaving here, that night, and I haven't felt I belonged in any of them. And now I'm back in Port Charles, I don't fell like I belong here, anymore, either. Jason:Give it time, Sonny. You'll adjust. I did. Aside from not feeling like you belong in Port Charles, how does it feel to be back. Sonny:I'd forgotten what if felt like to be looked at like you're something disgusting that was scraped off the bottome of somebody's shoe. That's one thing I didn't miss about this town. Can you imagine the fun I'm going to have trying to get a job in this town. Jason:Why would you need to look for a job? You own half of Luke's, not to mention the ELQ stock and this penthouse. Sonny:I gave that to you. I want you to keep it. Jason:Sonny, it's yours. The club hasn't been the same without you. Sonny:All right, I'll make you a deal. You hang on to everything for me until I'm ready to take it back. Until I figure out who Sonny Corinthos is. Until I reinvent myself. For the first time since I was a teenager the mob's completely out of my life and without it I'm not exactly sure who I am, anymore.(looks at his wristwatch)Oh, look at the time. I didn't intend to stay so long. Mike wants me to meet hhis lady friend, Mary Scanlon. Jason:I'll walk you out. Outside Jason's Building: Alan(sits behind the wheel of a car. He chugs down a hand full of pain pills)Come on, Sonnyboy. You corrupter of innocence.(his attention is drawn to Jason and Sonny exiting the building)Jason, my precious, Jason, I'm doing this for you. Sonny:You want to hear something funny? Mike wasn't too anxious for me to come and see you, today. I think he's afraid you're going to corrupt me. Isn't that a hoot. After years of being considered the corupter, I'm now the coruptee. Jason:Oh, I don't know. If you have trouble finding a job I could always make you my bagman. And given time you might be able to move up in the ranks after I've taught you all I know. Sonny:Very funny. I'll see you later.(Sonny steps off the curb. Alan starts up the car and floor the accelerator.) Jason(hears the screech of tires)Sonny, look out! Sonny(freezes in place watching as the car comes barreling towards him) To be continued ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
