Sonny and Miranda's Bedroom:
Sonny(as he dresses)So tell me about your sister Natasha?
Miranda:This can't go any further.
Sonny:You know it won't.
Miranda:Natasha is the daughter my father had with his mistress Kristen. 
Actually, Natasha is quite a legend in our family. We all thought she 
was dead.
Sonny:What happened?
Miranda:One day Kristen was found with her throat slashed and little 
Natasha vanished. It was assumed she'd been killed, too.
Sonny:Did they ever find out who murdered Kristen?
Miranda:No, but the servants believed my mother was responsible.
Sonny:And your brother has brought V into this household knowing that?
Miranda:He says by having her live here he's protecting her from Mother.
Sonny:Yeah, right. And just who is he protecting Jax from?
Miranda:Stefan says he didn't invite Jax to move in.
Sonny:And I'm sure the next time he's asked he'll say he felt sorry for 
poor, penniless Jax and he invited hiim to live here to prevent Candyboy 
from having to sleep in a cardboard box on the docks.
Miranda:You think Stefan's going to let Jax stay?
Sonny:I'd bet money on it. How better to annoy me. Maybe he thinks I'll 
get so annoyed, I'll even move out.
Miranda:Are you sure you don't want to change your mind about us finding 
somplace else to live? Wyndemere maybe big enough for you and Stefan. 
But you, Stefan and Jax?
Sonny:I wouldn't dream of it. I look upon this as a challenge. In fact, 
everytime I'm in a room with one of them, I'm going to be so annoying 
that I chase them out of the room. This is going to be fun.

Luke's Club:
Tracy(enters)How did the meeting go? Are we now in charge of Jason's 
territory?
Luke:Not exactly. Things didn't go as planned. For one thing Jason 
showed up at the meeting. 
Tracy:That brain damaged moron wasn't able to sway them to his side, was 
he?
Luke:Yes and no. In the end Mahoney, Harris, Dougan, Johnson and 
Lafferty decided Jason and I should be co-godfathers. They said both 
Jason and I have weaknesses, but together we cancel them out.
Tracy:And you agreed to this?
Luke:Damned right I did. All I wanted was a powerbase and now I've got 
it.
Tracy:What about me?
Luke:Trace, that's just the way the ball bounces. I don't see what 
you've got to complain about. You're leaving with exactly what you came 
in with.

Dining Room, Wyndemere:
Helena(looks around the table)I see two new faces, Stefan. Why didn't 
you tell me we were having guests.
Bobbie:They're not guests. They're new tenants in Hotel Cassadine.
Helena:Really? Why wasn't I informed about this?
Stefan:I'm informing you now, Mother. This is Jasper Jacks.
Helena:Jasper Jacks? Why does that name sound so familiar to me?
Sonny:Maybe you saw it in the paper. I believe the story got front page 
coverage.
Alexis:Aunt Helena, Mr. Jacks is being accused of killing Katherine 
Bell.
Jax:But Stefan and Alexis have promised to get me off.
Helena:(turns to Stefan)What is this criminal doing sitting at our 
table? Why isn't he rotting in prison where he belongs. He killed the 
woman you supposedly loved and you're trying to help him beat the rap.
Sonny:Gee, Jax, I don't think she likes you. Why don't you take off your 
shirt and drop your pants. That's how you usually impress women.
Jax:Unlike you who flashes his dimples and gives women hot smoldering 
looks.
Sonny:At least I keep my clothes on.
Helena:Stefan, what is the meaning of this. Have you no feeling for your 
sister. This man tried to murder Michael and you invite him to break 
bread with us. To live under the same roof as us. Michael probably won't 
be safe in his bed at night.
Sonny:Oh, don't worry, Helena. I sleep with a gun under my pillow and a 
switchblad in my hand.
Carly:Mrs. Cassadine, you know what a humanitarian your son is. Look at 
how he offered me a place to stay after I had my miscarriage eventhough 
he knows Bobbie can't stand me.
Helena:Oh, who asked you.
Bobbie:We all know why Stefan invited you to live her. You blackmailed 
him into doing it.
Helena:Is that how you got an invitation to stay here. Did you blackmail 
my son.
Jax:Mrs. Cassadine, do you know who you're talking to. I'm Jax. I don't 
do things like that. I don't need to. Everyone loves me.
Sonny:No, he just blows up women. When Miranda was married to him, 
that's what he did to her.
Helena:Isabella, were you married to this?
Miranda:It was a youthful mistake, Mother. Just like Jax blowing me up. 
Isn't that right, Jax.
Helena:Stefan, you invited the man who almost killed your sister to live 
with us. I want this creature thrown off the island at once.
Sonny:Helena, calm down. This is just what Steve wants. He invited Jax 
here to annoy me, just the way he invited V to live here to annoy you.
Helena:V? What kind of name is that? Wasn't that the name of the 
mini-series about those rodent-eating lizard people who invaded the 
Earth?(she turns to V)Tell me, V, did you ooze your way into this 
household like(she motions to Jax)this blackmailing leech.
Miranda:Actually, Mother, V is Jax's former assistant.
Helena:It figures. Like to like.
V:(turns to Stefan)Didn't you tell her?
Helena;Tell me what?
Stefan(smirks)I was just about to.
Sonny:Should we dive for cover?(Miranda elbows him in the rib)
Stefan:Mother, this is Venus Ardanowski.
Helena:Venus Ardanowski? Venus Ardanowski! You don't mean the spawn of 
Mikkos' whore. You can't mean Natasha? You have the nerve to bring that 
whore's offspring into my household. To sit her at the same table as me. 
How dare you!
Stefan:Mother, Natasha is father's child. It's time she took her proper 
place in this family.
Helena:Never! I won't allow it!
Stefan:You have no say in the matter. I'm head of this family. What I 
say goes.
Helena:We'll see about that.
V(stands up)I'm not going to stay where I'm not welcome.
Helena:Good. Never darken this door again.
Stefan(stops V from leaving)Natasha, you're not going anywhere. Our 
father would want you here and I intend to see you take your proper 
place in this family. Mother is overwrought. Just ignore her. We all do. 
She's prone to these fits of pique.
Helena:You go too far, Stefan. I know why you're doing this. This is 
your way to pay me back for Nikolas. Well, it's not going to work. You'r 
making a big mistake, little boy. You of all people know what happens to 
people who mess with me.(she turns to V)I suggest you leave before the 
same thing that happened to your mother, happens to you. Now if you'll 
excuse me, I've suddenly lost my appetite.(with that she storms out of 
the dining room)

Jax's Bedroom:
Jax(enters to find Carly lounging on his bed)What are you doing here?
Carly:How did you enjoy your first dinner at the house of Usher.
Jax:I'd like you to leave.
Carly:Not before you hear what I've come to say. I know why you're here.
Jax:I don't know what you mean.
Carly:Sure you do. You see, I've got the Demon Prince's study bugged and 
I hear your whole conversation. And let me tell you you're wasting your 
time. I've seen Miranda with Sonny and believe me she's a woman who only 
has eyes for one man. And he's a brunette, not a blonde.
Jax:Why is this any of your business.
Carly:Because I see an opportunity I don't intend to let slip through my 
fingers. I want us to team up. To become partners.
Jax:Why would I want to be partners with you?
Carly:Because you and I are in the same boat. We're both uninvited 
guests who are down on our luck. And neither likes it. But I have a plan 
that would get us both back on top. 
Jax:Thanks but not thanks. Once I break-up Sonny and Mirander, Brender 
and I are going to get married and I'll get back on top again without 
any help from you. 
Carly:Man, what is it gonna take before you get it. You've only got your 
precious Brender because Sonny's not free. If youy succeed in breaking 
up Sonny and Miranda, the supermodel is going to dump you so fast it's 
going to make your head spin. 
Jax:You don't know what you're talking about.
Carly:What if I'm right. What if you throw away a chance to be on top 
again for a woman who'll eventually dump you. But there's a way to find 
out which one of us is right.
Jax:I'm not interested.
Carly:I bet you want to pay Ned Ashton back for what he did to you, 
don't you? If you team up with me, you'll be able to. But if you don't, 
you won't. Wouldn't it be better to find out where you really stand with 
Brenda before you give up everything for her.
Jax:What exactly do you have in mind?
Carly:A little test for Brenda. If she passes, I'll never mention us 
teaming up again. But if she fails, we become partners. What do you say?
Jax:What kind of test?
Carly:Bobbie and Miranda are going shopping in New York, tomorrow. We'll 
set up Sonny and Brenda. We'll see what happens if they both think your 
plan to seduce Miranda has succeeded.
