Mac's House:
Mac:It's amazing, Miranda, you look and sound completely different.
Miranda:I spent Jax's divorce settlement well.
Mac:Why?
Miranda:Let's just say I have my reasons and leave it at that.
Mac:What are you doing in town?
Miranda:You heard of Sonny's shotgun wedding? I was the bride.
Mac:You and Sonny.
Miranda:I've got the bloody wedding gown to prove it. It boggles the mind, doesn't it. I can't imagine how Sonny would react if he learned he's in love with Miranda Jameson.
Mac:Sonny doesn't know.
Miranda:No, and I'd like to keep it that way.
Mac:if that's the case, they why are you here. I wouldn't have realized who you were if you hadn't revealed yourself to me.
Miranda:I needed a friend I could trust with my secrets. A friend I could confide iin and tell all my troubles to.
Mac:Tell me.
Miranda:I ran into Jax at the hospital and I really blew it.
Mac:How did you feel seeing him again.
Miranda:I went for his throat. Does that answer your question. After all that happened he's still whistling the same tune about blameless Brenda. He was at the hospital to warn Sonny to stay away from Brenda, but it never once occurs to him to tell Brenda to stay away from Sonny. Then everything came back to me. Being paralyzed and disfigured because of Jax's greed. Having him get me to return to Port Charles so he could explore his feelings for me. Almost jumping me on the couch when he thought Brenda ranaway with Sonny. And telling me to leave town when I told him Brenda had sex with Sonny. I saw red. I exploded. I let hiim have it with both barrels.
Mac:Good, it sounds like you're finally over him.
Miranda:I am. I've come to think of Jax as the great love of my life that never was. Until I met you and Jax, I'd lead a very sheltered life. My brother wouldn't let any boys near me. I was on my way to an all-girls boarding school when I ranaway. When i met Jax he was like the hero in all the romantic novels I read as a girl. If the accident hadn't happened, I think I would have realized long ago it was just an infatuation. But all during my recovery I built-up the relationship in my mind as the love affair of the century. Clinging to those sappy love notes like they were the holy grail or something.
Mac:But you really love Sonny?
Miranda:Yeah, I do, and I'm afraid because of my outburst Jax is going to realize who I am and Sonny will find out I'm really Miranda.
Mac:Would that be so bad?
Miranda:Look at me, Mac. He'll want to know why I completely altered my appearance. And that's a secret I intend to take with me to my grave.
V's Apartment:
V:Mr. Jacks, what are you doing here?
Jax:I needed to talk to a friend. You're not going to believe this. Some woman I don't even know attacked me for no reason at all. Do you know what she said I was? Leftovers. Can you believe that. Leftovers!
V:Who was this woman, sir.
Jax:Sonny Corinthos' girlfriend.
V:Ah, not I understand.
Jax:Well, explain it to me.
V:Obviously, she knows of the situation with Miss Barrett. Mr. Corinthos dumped Miss Barrett and you married her. Then Miss Barrett dumped you for Mr. Corinthos and after he dumped her at the altar you went running back to Miss Barrett. Miss Barrett can't have the maindish, Mr. Corinthos, so she's settling for the leftovers, you, sir.
Jax:You're supposed to be my friend. How can you say that to me?
V:Sometimes the truth hurts, sir. I could dress it up, but the truth is still the truth. You're so desperate to have Miss Barrett, you don't care that your second best. Look, sir, I really have to go. Mr. Morgan is expecting me.
Jax:Jason Morgan? What do you have to do with
him?
V:I'm his new bodyguard.
Sonny's Room, General Hospital:
Luke(enters to find Sonny pacing the floor)Why are you wearing a hole in the floor, partner?
Sonny:Sean Donely paid me a visit.
Luke:Donely! What did he want.
Sonny:He has an assignment for me.
Luke:I hope you told him where to stuff it.
Sonny:You haven't heard what it is. He thinks Cassadine has some plans for me. Donely wants me to go along with them so I can get close to Cassadine.
Luke:Tell Donely to forget it. If you let Cassadine get his hooks into you, you'll never get them out. And that goes double for Donely and the WSB. He'll keep coming back for one more assignment until you're all used up. I watched the WSB do the same to Robert. And when he tried to stop the bureau from executing his wife, they put a contract out on him, as well. You've finally got the mob out of your life. Do the same with Donely and his bunch.
Dara Jensen's Office:
Kat:What do you mean you're dropping all charges against Stefan
Cassadine?
Dara:Miss Bell, this office won't be used by a scorned woman to get revenge.
Kat:I don't know what you mean.
Dara:Miss Bell, I have witness after witness who will testify to your relationship with Mr. Cassadine. I have witnesses who saw you leaving Wyndemere wrapped in a sheet mere hours before you accused Mr. Cassadine. I'd be a fool to take this case to court.
Kat:I'm not lying. He shot me.
Dara:Give it up, Miss Bell. You expect me to believe after carrying on a relationship with Mr. Cassadine and having him dump you and remarry Bobbie Spencer, you suddenly remember he shot you?
Kat:All right, I remembered the truth since Luke Spencer was arrested for shooting me. But I forgave Stefan. I thought he loved me. Then I learned he only pretended to care for me so I wouldn't turn him into the police.
Dara(laughing)You expect me to believe you fell in love with the man who shot and paralyzed you? That's even more unbelievable than your other story.
General Hospital:
Stefan(and
Bobbie walking down the hall)All right, Barbara, how did you do it?
Bobbie:I simply told Dara Jensen, Katherine was obsessed with you and stuck to the basic facts with a few minor alterations.
Stefan:I'm impressed. You may make a fairly decent Cassadine, after all.
Bobbie:I'm a Spencer and I'm going to stay that way. Now that I lived up to my end of the bargain, it's time you lived up to yours.
Stefan:And what bargain would that be?
Bobbie:You agreed that if I helped you out of the mess Katherine created for you, you'd give me a divorce.
Stefan:Did I? I don't recall that.
Bobbie:You know you did.
Stefan:What I said was you'd have to give an emmy winning performance and I asked you if you could do that. I never said we had a deal.
Bobbie:Why you miserable no good...
Stefan:Now, now, Barbara, do try to rise above your breeding. If you'll excuse me, I've got work to do.(as he walks by the physical therapy room he hears Luke and Carly's raised voices and cracks open the door)
Luke:This is all your fault. If you'd kept you hands off Dr. Feelgood, my sister would still be Mrs. Tony Jones and not be married to Boris Karloff and living in Dracula's Castle.
Carly:It's not my fault Tony and I fell in love.
Luke:Oh, save the hearts and flowers for someone who believes it, Sweet Caroline. We both know love had nothing to do with your pursuit of Dr. Tony. It was pure revenge on Bobbie because she gave you away for adoption.
Stefan(smiles)Caroline? As in Caroline Benson, Barbara's daughter. You know exactly where Barbara's daughter is and who she is, but you haven't told Barbara, have you. Oh, Spencer, I've got you now..
