Port Charles County Courthouse:
Dara(pacing in front of the juror box)Ladies and gentlemen of the jury. 
You see before you a man who believes he is above the law. That he can 
do whatever he pleases and not have to be punished for his actions. The 
term getting away with murder was made for Michael Corinthos Jr. Don't 
let that handsome face fool you. Beneath those good looks lives the 
heart of a cold-blooded killer and a user of women. Before returning to 
Port Charles, Mr. Corinthos married Carla Solieto at the New York City 
Hall. Or should I say, Mr. Corinthos pretended to marry Carlo Solieto. 
What he actually did was marry Lois Cerullo at City Hall a hour before, 
then he hired an actor to play a judge and pretend to marry him to Ms. 
Solieto. What a prince. When Ms. Solieto learned of the cruel deception 
Mr. Corinthos played on her, she was understandably angry and she 
decided to get revenge on this Brooklyn Lothario. She managed to make a 
tape of Mr. Corinthos and Ms. Cerullo making love and played it at 
Katherine Bell's party at the Outback. But you see Carla Solieto forgot 
one thing. Nobody does that to Sonny Corinthos and gets away with it. 
Later that night in a rage, Mr. Corinthos got his gun, went over to 
Carla Solieto's penthouse and shot her. I feel sure once you hear the 
state's case against Michael Corinthos Jr. you'll feel there's only one 
verdict you can come to in this matter. Guilty as charged.
Sonny:I wish she'd say how she really feels about me.
Justus:(gets to his feet and takes Dara's place in front of the jury)My 
learned counsel paints a really black picture of my client, doesn't she, 
as this unfeeling womanizer. But as with anyone who knows the real 
Michael Corinthos Jr. the way things appear to be, aren't necessarily 
the way they really are. Let's take Mr. Corinthos' marriage to Carla 
Solieto for starters. Ms. Jensen neglected to mention that Carla Solieto 
believed when she married Sonny Corinthos she was entering into a brief 
marriage of convenience that would be ended in the near future by a 
divorce. Ms. Solieto also knew at the time she married Sonny Corinthos 
that he was very much in love with Lois Cerullo. Recently, it was also 
discovered that Carla Solieto is pregnant. The doctors believe the 
probably date of conception was on the night Carla Solieto married Sonny 
Corinthos, but tests have proved Mr. Corinthos isn't the father. That 
means on her wedding night, Carla Solieto took another man into her bed 
and made love to him. Sort of adds new light to the picture of the 
betrayed blushing bride that Ms. Jensen has painted, doesn't it? She 
also neglected to mention that Carla Solieto made enemies the way most 
people make friends. And several of Mr. Solieto's enemies threatened her 
life on the night she was shot. But the reason that none of them are 
sitting in the witness chair instead of my client is none of them are on 
Detective Alex Garcia and Marcus Taggert's hit list. These two police 
officers have been trying to nail Sonny Corinthos on anything. Any crime 
that's committed in Port Charles, the first door they come knocking on 
is Sonny Corinthos' with the hope they can pin it on them. And it was no 
different in this case. Before they even started investigation Ms. 
Solieto's shooting, the first person they questioned was Sonny 
Corinthos. When I've finished presenting my case to you, you'll reach 
only one conclusion. Michael Corinthos Jr. is innocent of the charges 
that have been levelled against him.
Judge:Ms. Jensen, present your first witness.
Dara:I call to the stand Miguel Morez.
Justus;Do you have any idea why Dara would call him to testify?
Sonny(watching Miguel take the stand and be sworn in)I've got a pretty 
good idea and it's not going to look good.
Dara:Mr. Morez, you know the defendant, Michael Corinthos, Jr?
Miguel:I'm afraid I do.
Dara:Can you tell the court of an incident that took place between you 
and Mr. Corinthos in a New York hotel room where you got a glimpse of 
his violent temper?
Miguel:I was sleeping with his ex-girlfriend, Brenda Barrett. We got 
into a fight and Sonny got so angry with me, he almost cut my face with 
a broken piece of glass.
Justus:Your honor, I object. We're not here to judge Mr. Corinthos' on 
his past actions. We're here to decide if he's guilty of shooting Carla 
Solieto.
Dara:Your honor, I'm trying to establish the fact that when enraged, 
Sonny Corinthos has a violent temper that causes him to do violent 
things.
Judge:Over-ruled. I'll allow this line of questioning, Ms. Jensen.
Dara(smirks at Justus)Thank you, your honor. I have no further 
questions. Your witness, counselor.
Justus:(to Sonny)It's your call, Sonny. Should I try to cross-examine 
him. Is there anything I can use against him to make him look bad?
Sonny:You could play one of his songs. Aside from that I can't think of 
a thing.
Justus:No questions, your honor.
Judge:Call your next witness.
Dara:I call John Cates to the stand.
Justus:Jagger! Why would she be calling Jagger to testify?
Sonny:Probably to tell the court how I once had him beaten up.

Jet En Route To Port Charles:
Sean;Frisco, before we get to Port Charles and you tell Venus Ardanowski 
she's really Gillian Devane, I think there's something you'd better 
know. Sean Donely isn't my real name. I was born Phillip Devane.
Frisco:What! Are you saying you're Anna's father?
Sean:Anna and Gillian's.
Frisco:You're telling me you've known Anna all these years and you never 
once told her you were her father?
Sean:There just didn't seem to be any point in it. She was all grown up 
and she didn't need a father, any longer.
Frisco:No point! She's your daughter. Don't you think she'd want to know 
your her father. Don't you think she had a right to know. And what about 
Robin? You're her only living grandparent.
Sean:All right, Frisco, you want the truth. I was afraid if I told Ann 
the truth I'd lose the relationship I have with her. She forgave me for 
kidnapping her during the Aztec Treasure caper, almost killing Robert 
and for breaking-up her marriage to Robert, but when she realizes it 
wasn't Sean, her friend, who did all that, but Sean, her father, I 
thought she might order me out of her life for good.
Frisco:And if Anna didn't, Robert certainly would.
Sean:Anyway, I've decided the time has come for all the lies to stop. 
Now that Gillian's been found, I have to be honest about who I really 
am.

Port Charles County Courthouse:
Judge(bangs his gavel)Court is adjourned until tomorrow morning at then.
Sonny:This isn't going very well, is it?
Justus:It's only the first day.
Sonny:But it didn't help that ADA Jensen is bringing up every violent 
thing I've ever done in my life. Did you see the way the jury was 
looking at me? 
Justus:I think I scored some points when Jax testified about you 
punching him.
Sonny:Justus, it doesn't matter that Candyboy provoked me with that 
carbomb crack. Ms. Jensen proved her point. That when I'm provoked, I 
react violently and that night Carla was shot, she definitely provoked 
me. So it's not going to be a big leap to imagine me going over and 
trying to pop her in a violent rage.
Justus:Well, just remember that when Dara puts Taggert on the stand, 
tomorrow, we've got a nasty little surprise in store for her. When we 
reveal Taggert is Deke's son, it's going to blow her right out of the 
water.
