Alexis' Office, ELQ International: Alexis:Come in, Mr. Morgan. I'm surprised you wanted to see me? Jason:I understand Ned's been trying to contaact Michael Corelli? Alexis:Yes, how did you know that? Jason:Mr. Corelli has been in contact with me. He wants me to act as a go-between between him and Ned. Alexis:That's a bit unusual, isn't it? I don't know if Ned will agree to that. Jason:He will if he wants to save ELQ. Alexis:All right, I'll tell Ned and see what he says, then I'll get back to you. Jax's Penthouse: V:Jax, have you figured out out you're going to lure Mr. Corinthos into your trap? Jax:I'm going to use AIDS. Brenda(enters carrying two dresses)Oh, Jax, darling, I need your opinion. Which dress do you think I should wear, tonight?(she holds up the dresses to herself)This red dress or this black one? Jax:The red one. (she smiles and exits) V:AIDS? Jax:Sonny had a friend who died of AIDS. He never misses a Nurses Ball and donated a small fortune ot have an AIDS wing built at General Hospital. He won't be able to resist attending an AIDS benefit. Brenda(carrying two pairs of shoes enters)Jax, darling, which shoes do you think I sould wear with the red dress? The red pumps or the black sandals? Jax(takes a deep breath and slowly exhales it)The red pumps. (she nods, smiles and leaves) V:But will Mr. Corinthos actually come if he knows you're throwing it. Jax:That's the beauty of my plan, V. He won't know I'm behind it. I'm going to get one of my society friends to stage an AIDS fundraiser for me. Then I'll send Sonny and invitation from "Jerry" asking him to come and then I'll spring my trap on him. Brenda(enters)Jax, darling, should I wear my hair up or down? Jax:Brender, can't you see I'm trying to conduct business, here? Brenda:Jax, there's no need to raise your voice to me. I'm just trying to make myself beautiful for you. Jax:Wear your hair up. Brenda:Thank you, Jax, darling.(she leaves) Jax:V, you see what she's like. She can't make a decision on her own. I'm surprised she doesn't ask me what color underwear to wear. It's all Sonny's fault she's like this and he's going to pay for it. V, I want you to go back to New York. Until I can spring my trap on Sonny, I need you to watch him twenty-four hours a day and report back to me every move he makes. Cerullo Kitchen, Bensonhurst: Gloria:(looking in the oven)The lasagne is almost done, now all I have to do is make the salad and we can eat. Sonny(and Lois at the same time)I'll do it. Gloria:I don't think so. I've got a good memory. Since you two were kids; you two, food and a kitchen don't mix. Sonny:Mrs. C., I don't know what you're talking about? Lois:(holds his chin in her hand)Look, Ma, he looks so innocent, doesn't he? Like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth. Gloria:You know very well what I'm talking about, Michael. When you and Lois get around food, you tell her she's preparing it wrong, she gets mad and you two end up throwing food at each other. I'm going to go get Carmine and Brooke. Both of you, don't touch anything while I'm gone.(she exits) Lois:This is ridiculous. We're grown adults now. Nothings going to happen if we get around food together. Sonny:You're right. Let's make the salad. You cut up the vegetables and I'll make the dressing. Lois:(chopping up a head of lettuce with a knife.)See, Ma was worried about nothing. Sonny(looks at the way she's cutting up the lettuce)You know, Cerullo, that's not the way you're supposed to cut up lettuce. Lois:(with a bit of an edge to her voice)Oh, really? Then how am I supposed to do it? Sonny:Well, everyone knows you're supposed to gently tear it apart with your fingers.(he takes some lettuce and demonstrates)Like this. Lois:What's the difference? It's getting cut-up, isn't it? Sonny:The difference is between doing it the right way and doing it the way you're doing it. Lois:(shoves the bowl of lettuce towards him)Fine, you do it. (she starts angerly slicing a tomato)Oh, Sonny, I am doing this right, aren't I? I'm not supposed to gently tear it apart with my fingers, am I? Sonny:You don't have to get snippy about it because I'm a better cook than you are. Lois:You are not. Sonny:I am too. Lois:Are not. Sonny:Am too. And it's a well-known fact that all men are better cooks than women. Why do you think all the great chefs of the world are men. Lois:What about Julia Child and Betty Crocker? Sonny:They can't hold a candle to the Galloping Gourmet and Chef Boy-R-Dee. Lois:Face facts, Bensonhurst, it's a well-disputed fact that women are the better cooks. Why elso do you think they say a woman's place is in the kitchen. Sonny:I don't believe that came out of your mouth. If I'd said that, you'd call me a male chauvinist pig.(he sees Lois about to pour dressing over the salad)Cerullo, what do you think you're doing? Everyone knows you don't pour the dressing over the salad until you're about to serve it. That way it stays crisp. You way makes it soggy. Lois:That does it.(she pours the dressing over his head and smiles)Tell me, Sonny, you feeling soggy, yet? Sonny:I suppose you think that's funny? (he pours the bowl of salad over her head)Laugh now. Lois:Big deal. So I got lettuce in my hair. At least I'm dry. That's more than you can say. Sonny:We'll see how dry you are when I'm through with you.(he grabs a can of whip cream off the counter and squirts it at her) You don't look so dry, now. Lois:All right, Sonny, you asked for it. This means war. (she grabs a can of Cheez-wiz off the counter and squirts it at him) Carmine(Gloria and Brooke enter as the food really starts to fly)You left them alone in the kitchen together. Gloria:I told them not to touch anything. Carmine:I can see they listened to you. Gloria(whistles to get their attention)Lois-Marie. Michael. We'd like to eat now if you two don't mind. Lois:It was all his fault, Ma, he started it. Sonny:I was just trying to tell her the right way to do things. Is it my fault she can't take a little constructive criticism. Gloria:I don't want to hear it. Needless to say the two of you will be cleaning up this mess after we eat. Carmine:Still haven't learned to keep your mouth shut, eh, Sonny? Gloria, I swear the boy will never learn. Alexis' Room, Port Charles Hotel: Ned(and Alexis laying in bed. Ned is running his finger up and down her back as they discuss Jason's visit to her office)So, Michael Corelli will only deal with me through Jason. Why? and just how does Jason know him? Alexis:I don't know. Do you think Mr. Corelli has mob ties? Ned:Even if he does, why doesn't he want to deal with me in person. It's like he's afraid to meet me face-to-face or something. Alexis:So, what are you going to do? What do you want me to tell Jason? Ned:What choice do I have. This is the only chance I have to keep ELQ out of Jax's hands. Tell Jason he has a deal. I'll play it the way Michael Corelli wants for the moment. Alexis:(smiles at him)And, what else? Ned:(flashes his dimples)You know me so well. While I'm humoring Mr. Corelli, I'm going to find out everything there is to know about him, in particular why he doesn't want me to meet him. And when I'm through I'm going to know more about Michael Corelli than he knows about himself. ______________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
