Lois' Bedroom, Quartermaine Mansion:
Lois(is sitting in front of her dressing table putting the finishing 
touches on her make-up)I'm surprised you came upo here to help me get 
dressed. We haven't spoken since New York.
Brenda:Lo, I've hated being mad at you. Your my bestest friend in the 
whole wide world. Besides, I know the way Sonny is. I'm sure he gave you 
some song and dance to make you feel sorry for him so you'd agree to 
become partners with him. I know it's not your fault.
Lois:Bren, things aren't the way they appear with Sonny. You don't know 
the whole story.
Brenda:Lo, I don't want to talk about him. It's bad enough I have to be 
in the same room with him at the party.
Lois:I understand you had lunch with Carla?
Brenda:Sonny has finally met his perfect match. What a rude woman. Can 
you believe it. She sat down at my table without being asked to warn me 
off Sonny, as if I'm even interested in him. Lo, is it true you actually 
grew-up with that horrible woman?
Lois:Yes, Sonny and I both did. You know, I'm surprised Jax had the 
never to show up her, tonight, after what he tried with ELQ.
Brenda:Oh, that was just business. The Quartermaines understand that. 
Are you ready to go downstairs?
Lois:As ready as I'll ever be.(they head down to the party.)

Downstairs at the party:
Edward(and Ned watching Jax mingle with the guests)Can you believe he 
had the nerve to show up here?
Ned:Yes, I can. You want to talk about nerve. Remember when I stopped 
his and Mother's takeover attempts and he came sauntering in here pretty 
as you please saying he wanted to work with us to make ELQ great? Now 
that was nerve.
Edward(Oh, no, look who just arrived(he motions to Sonny, Carla, Jason 
and Carly)
Ned:You knew Sonny would be coming. He's one of the guests of honor.
Edward:No, not Corinthos. I'm talking about Jason. Why did Corinthos 
have to bring him.
Ned:Well, at least he left his bodyguards at home.
Edward:Oh, great. Maybe some rival mob faction will think it's a great 
time to take him out and end up slaughtering the rest of us in the 
process.
Sonny(to Lila)Mrs. Quartermaine, I'd like you to meet my wife, Carla.
Carla:It's a pleasure to meet you, Mrs. Quartermaine. You have such a 
lovely home.
Lila:Thank you, my dear, but the house belongs to my daughter-in-law, 
Monica.
Jason:Something the old man likes to forget.
Edward:I heard that, you thug.
Sonny:Carla, I'd like you to meet Edward Quartermaine. Edward is Jason's 
grandfather. I think you two will get along famously. Edward, this is my 
wife, Carla.
Edward(beams)Your wife you say? It's so nice to meet you, my dear.
Carla:Oh, no, the pleasure is all mine. I've heard so much about you. 
You're a real legend in the business world. I'm a real fan of yours. I'd 
really love to pick your brain.
Sonny(taking Carla by the arm and leading her away)Why don't we go and 
get a drink and save the picking of brains for later.(he hisses to her 
as they walk away)You're overdoing it a bit, don't you think.
Carla(hisses back)You told me to be nice. I was being nice.
Edward(rubbing his hands together in glee)Did you hear that, Lila? 
Corinthos is married. So much for you talk about Lois and Sonny looking 
at each other in a romantic way. Speaking of which, there's Lois now.(he 
looks around)Where's Ned.
Lila(watches Brenda and Lois standing in the entrance then turns to look 
at Sonny, who smiles when he sees Lois. Sonny and Lois' eyes lock)Oh,  
yes, Edward, dear. When you're right, you're right.
Brenda:Lo, can you believe it. Sonny's trying to give me the eye. Can't 
he get the message. I'm not interested in him.(she looks around)I wonder 
where Jax is. Oh, there he is talking to Jerry.
Lois:You go on. I need to talk to Sonny about opening a Port Charles 
branch office of C&C Management.
Brenda:Be sure to make it clear to Sonny that I'm not interested in him 
in the slightes.
Lois:Don't worry, I will.
Jax(to Jerry)Do you think V will be here?
Jerry:I don't see why she would be. She's not a friend of either Sonny  
or Lois.
Bobbie:Maybe she'll crash the party like you did.
Jerry:You're just not going to let that go, are you, Red.
Reginald:Ms. Spencer, there's a call for you in the foyer.
Jerry:Who is it?
Reginald:Mr. Cassadine.
Jerry:Tell him she's busy.
Bobbie:Excuse me, tell Mr. Cassadine I'll be right there. (she turns on 
Jerry)Don't ever do that, again. Don't ever try to make decisions for me 
without asking me first.
Jerry:Look, Red, Cassadine's only calling to try and ruin the evening 
for you.
Bobbie:I can assure you Stefan doesn't have that kind of power over 
me.(she heads off to the phone as Brenda approaches)
Brenda:Jax, darling, did you miss me.
Jax:Every second you were away from me.(Jerry makes a face)
Brenda:Oh, look, there's V.
Jerry(smirking at Jax)And who is that man she's with?
Brenda:That Detective Garcia.
Garcia(handing a glass of champagne to V)Well, V, I'm glad you finally 
agreed to go out with me.
V(laughing)You never asked me out before, so how could I finally agree. 
That's an oxymoron.
Garcia:Well, I've been wanting to ask you out for a long time. I'm 
always seeing you around the Outback.
V:Then why didn't you.
Garcia:I guess I'm just shy.
Jax(bitting by the green-eyed monster)I just remember there's something 
I need to talk to V about. If you'll excuse me.
Lois(comes up behind Sonny)I miss you.
Sonny(turns to her and hands her a glass of champagne)It was only a hour 
ago we were in the shower together.
Lois:But that quickie was much too quick. Especially, when I think of my 
big, lonely bed upstairs just waiting for you to be in it.
Sonny:(giving her one of his hot, smoldering looks)Why what are you 
suggesting, Mrs. Corinthos.
Lois:That we slip away from this party and make a little whooppee, Mr. 
Corinthos. What say you?
Jerry(motion to Sonny and Lois)I heard Sonny had gotten married, but 
that can't be here. He described his wife as a man-eating virago. But 
that little lady has him eating out of the palm of her hand and he's 
loving every minute of it.
Brenda:What are you talking about? That's just Lois. She and Sonny are 
business partners. She's discussing business with him.
Jerry(laughs)Trust me, I know men and women and the only kind of 
business that going on between those two at the moment, is monkey 
business.
