Stefan's Room, General Hospital:
Kat:Stefan, are you sure?
Stefan:I should know, shouldn't I?
Kat:Stefan, don't worry, I'll see you through this. I won't leave you. 
We'll get through this together. 
Stefan:Do you honestly think I want you anywhere near me? It's your 
fault I'm like this. Get out!
Kat:Oh, Stefan, I know you don't mean that. You're just upset. I know 
exactly how you feel. I did the same thing you're trying to do when I 
was paralyzed. But I'm not going to let you push me away.
Stefan:What part of "get out" don't you understand. Get out of this 
room. Get out of my life. Get out!
Alan(and Bobbie enter)What's going on in here?
Stefan:I want her out of my room and I don't want her let back in.
Kat:Oh, Alan, Stefan say's he's paralyzed.
Stefan:Will you get her out of here. I can't stand the sight of her.
Alan:Katherine, I'll have to ask you to leave.
Kat:I'm not going anywhere until I know Stefan's going to be all right.
Stefan(tires to make a grab for the phone sitting on his nightstand)What 
do I have to do to get her out of here? Call security myself? I want her 
out of here and I want her out of here now.
Alan:Katherine, I have to insist you leave. Your presence is upsetting 
him. He needs to stay calm. He just got out of surgery.
Kat:All right, I'll leave, but I'll be back. I love you, Stefan, and 
nothing you do will ever change that.(they watch her exit)
Alan:Now, Stefan, you say you're paralyzed?
Stefan:I can't move my legs and I have no feeling in them, so yes, I'm 
paralyzed.
Alan:Let's see, shall we? (he lifts up the bottom of the sheet and 
begins running the edge of his pen along the bottom of Stefan's foot)Do 
you feel that?
Stefan:No.
Alan(pricks the bottom of Stefan's foot)Do you feel that?
Stefan:No. What's wrong with me?
Alan:Stefan, you took a serious blow to the back when you fell down the 
stairs. Until we run tests we won't really know what's wrong with you.

Quartermaine Mansion:
Lois(enters)I'm glad I found you alone, Lila.
Lila:Come in, Lois, dear.
Lois:You know, becoming a mother has made me see thing differently. I 
look at everything in a different way, now.
Lila:I know what you mean, dear. The same thing happened when I gave 
birth to Alan.
Lois:You know, I don't think Brooke could ever do anything I couldn't 
forgive her for.
Lila:Lois, dear, what are you trying to get at?
Lois:I think it's time you forgave Tracy.
Lila:Tracy! How can you speak up for her after what she did to you.
Lois:Because I'm a mother and I know if Brooke had done what Tracy had I 
wouldn't turn my back on her, but try to undestand why she did it. Lila, 
whose fault is it really that Tracy has turned out the way she has.
Lila:Lois, what are you saying?
Lois:I've seen Mr. Q in action. Can you honestly say if Mr. Q. wasn't 
the way he was, Tracy wouldn't be the way she is?

Stefan's Room, General Hospital:
Stefan(as Alan and Bobbie enter)Well, have you got the tests back?
Alan:The X-rays reveal a swelling around your spinal cord. That's what 
preventing you from being able to move your legs.
Stefan:Well, what do you intend to do about it?
Alan:I'm afraid there's nothing we can do, at the moment. It's in a 
delicate area of the spinal cord. If we tried to do something to reduce 
the swelling we could end up causing you permanent damage. All we can do 
is wait for the swelling to come down on its own.
Stefan:And whata if it doens't? Are you saying I'm going to be like this 
for the rest of my life?
Alan:It's too premature to even think that way. You haven't even given 
the swelling a chance to go down on its own. Look, I have to go.(Bobbie 
starts to follow Alan out the door)
Stefan:Barbara, stay!
Bobbie:What is it?
Stefan:You must have seen cases like mine before. What are my chances? 
Will I ever walk, again?
Bobbie:Stefan, Alan didn't lie to you. You have to be patient and give 
the swelling a chance to go down on its own. Do you want me to get 
someone for you? Katherine's waiting outside.
Stefan:She's the last person I'd want to see. She's the reason I'm here. 
She pushed me down the stairs.
Bobbie:Stefan, that's ridiculous. She loves you.
Stefan:I told her to get out. That it was over between us. I was heading 
up the stairs when she grabbed me. It was no accident. She pushed me 
down the stairs.

Lobby, Port Charles Hotel:
Sonny(hands the desk clerk a hundred dollar bill)Are you sure both Mr. 
Jacks and Mrs. Jacks left the penthouse?
Desk Clerk:I saw them leave with my own eyes.
Sonny:Thanks.
Jason:Sonny, are you sure you want to do this?
Sonny:Jason, I need to find out which company Candyboy is going to go 
after next so I can get there before him. and the only way I can find 
that out is to sneak into his penthouse and snoop around.
Jason:If Jax catches you in there he'll have you arrested.
Sonny:(slaps Jason on the shoulder)That's why you're going to stay down 
here and keep watch for me. If you see anyone, ring the penthouse. Let 
the phone ring twice and hang up, then I'll know to get the heck out of 
there.(Sonny gets on the elevator)
Robin(enters)Jason, what are you doing here?
Jason:Robin? Oh, I'm just hanging around.
Robin:Your parents are inside eating. Why don't we go and join them.
Jason:How many times do I have to tell you. Their not my family.
Robin:Jason, Jason Quartermaine gave you your life. The very least you 
owe him is to have a relationship with his parents.
Jason:Robin, Alan tried to kidnap Michael.
Robin:Is it any different that what you've done to AJ. You're keeping 
his son from him.
Jason:AJ had a drunken one night stand with Carly. Carly carried Michael 
in her womb for nine months. She gave birth to him. Carly has more right 
to Michael than AJ does.(as they continue to debate, neither sees Jax 
enter, get on the elevator and head up to the penthouse)
