Harlan Barrett is my father. Stefan:I just found out recently that you were adopted and that I was your father. Brenda:When were you planning to tell me this. Stefan:On this trip. I was just waiting until I felt the time was right. Brenda:So, giving m a job at Deception and this trip was just all so you could get close to me? Stefan:I know this must come as a shock to you... Brenda:I want to go home. Stefan:What! Brenda:I want to go home. I want Sonny. Stefan:Brenda, we really need to talk about this. Brenda(backs away from him when he tries to reach out to her)Don't touch me! I want Sonny!(she runs out of the room in tears) The Brownstone: Robert(enters as Anna's setting the table for dinner)Well, if we had any doubts that Brenda Barrett wasn't really Stefan Cassadine's daughter, we can put them firmly to rest, now. Anna:What's that you have in your hand, Robert? Robert:The report's back on the two birth certificates we found in Brenda Barrett's birth records. The birth certificate naming Roberta Anderson and Cass Stephens as her parents is a fake. Helena obviously had it planted in Ms. Barrett's file to make it look like Brenda was adopted. Anna:So, that's why Veronica Barrett is pretending to be Roberta Anderson. She's convinced Stefan Cassadine she's Roberta Anderson so he'll never suspect Bobbie is the real Roberta and is passing off her daughter as Stefan's child so he never realizes Carly is his real daughter. Robert:Helena is nothing if not one of a kind. (there's a knock at the door)That must be Nikolas. Nervous. Anna:(lets out a deep breath)A bit. What does one say when one has dinner with one's grown son for the first time. Robert:I guess we'll find out, won't we. I'll go let him in. Michael's Nursery, The Brownstone: Sonny(enters to find Carly playing with Michael)Our mysterious friend has given us a new assignment. This time it's local. Carly:What does he want, this time? Sonny:A jade figurine believe it or not belonging to Edward Quartermaine. Carly:Edward Quartermaine! Sonny, how are we going to get into the Quartermaine's to steal it. You and I are pretty persona non grata there. Sonny:According to our nameless friend the Q's are having a big party, tonight. We'll just have to sneak in while it's going on. Carly:Tonight! That doesn't give us much warning or preparation time, does it? Sonny:I guess since it's local, he didn't think we'd need it. Carly, after we steal this jade figurine, I want you to be the one to deliver it to him. Carly:Why? Sonny:I'm going to follow you to make sure you're all right, then when he leaves with his jade figurine, I'm going to follow him and see where he goes. Carly:But won't he get suspicious when you don't show up. Sonny:We'll just have to think of some reason I can't be there and you had to deliver him the merchandise instead. I'm sick of being at this guy's beck-and-call and it's going to end, tonight. Stefan and Bobbie's Bedroom, Aspen: Bobbie(enters)The car just left to take Brenda to the airport. And the jet's waiting at the runway to fly her back to Port Charles, immediately. Stefan:Barbara, she doesn't want anything to do with me. Bobbie:She's just in shock. I'm sure that will change once she gets used to the news. Stefan:I had it all planned out. Brenda and I would get close on this trip and when I felt the time was perfect, I would take her hand in mine, look her deeply in the eyes and tell her I was her father. I wish I knew how she found out. Bobbie:She didn't tell youy how she stumbled upon the truth. Stefan:No, I can only guess that she must of overheard us talking or something like that. Barbara, what am I going to do? My own child hates me. Bobbie(puts her arms around him)It'll be all right, Stefan. You'll see. Look at Carly and me. If Carly and I could become reconciled after all that went down between us, I'm sure you and Brenda will be able to do the same thing. Robert and Anna's Apartment: Nik:Dinner was great. I really enjoyed it. Anna:You sound surprised that you survived the meal without contracting tomaine poisoning. Robert:You can never fail with take-out pizza from Dino's. Even Anna couldn't mess it up. All she had to do was take it out of a box and put it on a plate. Anna(drives her elbow into Robert's ribs)Just ignore my husband. He tends to rattle off at the mouth. That tends to happen when one reaches a certain age. Robert:How dare you! Are you suggesting I'm getting senile? Nik(laughs)You two really enjoy teasing each other, don't you? Anna:It's just our way. Nik:I can see y ou two really love each other a lot. I hope I find what you two have some day. In fact, I may already have with my girlfriend, Robin. Goodnight.(he exits) Robert:I think that went very well, don't you? Anna:With the amount of times he mentioned Robin's name, I think he may be in love with her. Maybe Robin isn't our daughter, but one day she could be our daughter-in-law. Robert:Maybe everything will work out for the best in the end. Wouldn't that be nice. It's still pretty early.
