Jake's Pool Hall: Faison:(sits at the bar watching Sonny hustle pool games. Then he finally walks over to him as Sonny is stuffing the money he just won in the back pocket of his jeans)You're very good at pool, Mr. Corinthos. Sonny:Want to play a game. I'm free at the moment. Faison:Hardly, I didn't come here so you could clean my pockets like you did all the other men foolish enough to take up your challenge. Sonny:Then what do you want from me. Faison:If you want to make money, Mr. Corinthos, there's easiers ways to make it than hustling pool. Sonny:You know my name, but I don't know you. Who are you? Faison:I know everything there is to know about you. I probably know more about you than even you know about yourself. Sonny:What do you want from me? Faison:The money you made here, tonight, is mere pocket change. You could make much more for less effort if you'll only listen to what I have to say. Sonny:You didn't answer my question. Who are you? Faison:My name would mean nothing to you. I have need of your criminal abilities, Mr. Corinthos, and I'm will to pay well for your services. Sonny:I'm not interested. I'm legit these days.(Sonny starts to walk away) Faison:But will being legit give you the money you're going to need to raise two children, Mr. Corinthos.(Sonny turned back to him)I told you I know everything there is to know about you. Why don't we sit down at a table and discuss my little business offer to you. What can it hurt to just listen to what I have to say. Sonny:Fine, I'll hear you out.(they sit down at a table together)So, shoot. Faison:I take it that amongst your many criminal skills is the ability to crack a safe. Sonny:You take it right. Faison:Helena Cassadine has in her possession the Star Of Cadiz Sapphire. I want it. I'm willing to pay you $50,000 to get it for me. Sonny:I can't. Faison:Why not? Surely, there's no love-loss between you and Helena Cassadine. Sonny:Helena Cassadine is related to my wife. I won't steal from my wife's relatives, no matter how much I might need the money. Faison:Look, don't give me your answer just yet. Just think about it for awhile. Here's my card. You can reach me at the number at anytime. Sonny:Fine, I'll take your card, but I'm not going to change my mind. Helena's Yacht: Veronica(sipping wine)Helena, I just love my new job at Deception. I thought of this brilliant ad campaign, today, and it's already being implemented. Helena:That's nice, dear, but maybe you should think about quitting Deception and leaving town. I have a villa on the french riviera you would just die for. Veronica; Why would I want to do that. Besides, I thought you wanted me to break-up Stefan and Bobbie for you. Helena:Let's face facts, my dear. It's not working. You've revealed "Brenda" is Stefan's daughter, you've made all those pesky little phone calls to Wyndemere, and you even left lipstick on Stefan's collar and none of it has worked. Stefan and Bobbie are even closer than ever. Veronica:Helena, I haven't even begun to try and come between them, yet. Bobbie Spencer is no match for me, I can assure you. Up until now I've been very subtle, but when I become more aggressive, I'll have results and I'll succeed at breaking them up. Helena; But you're forgetting about the problem of your daughter, Brenda. She's going to be working at Deception, now. With the two of you working at the same place, it's only a matter of time before the two of you run into each other. Not to mention the fact Stefan will try to find a way for the three of you to work together so you can get to know each other so he can reveal to your daughter that he's really her father. But the first time Brenda sees you face-to-face she'll be able to reveal you're really Veronica Barrett, not Roberta Anderson as you claim. Veronica, my dear, Stefan is a very vindictive man. If he finds out that not only did you lie to him about being his beloved Roberta Anderson, but that Brenda Barrett isn't really his daughter, he'll decimate you. Veronica(threw her glass against the wall in a fit of anger)Damn, Brenda. She always ruins everything for me. I wish she'd never been born. Helena:Veronica, you must see why you must give up your job at Deception and leave town. Veronica:I'm not quitting Deception or leaving town. If anyone goes, it'll be Brenda, not me. I finally have the kind of life that I've always wanted and I'll be damned if I'm going to let Brenda ruin it for me. Helena:But what will you do about Brenda. How will you stop her from revealing the truth abaout you to Stefan if she happens to see you. Veronica:Don't worry, Helena, I'll think of something. The Brownstone: Brenda(as Sonny enters)Carly told me you stormed out of her awhile ago. What happened. Sonny:It was nothing important. I just needed to get some fresh air. Brenda:I can understand that. I get the same way when I'm exposed to Carly for any length of time. So where did you go? Sonny:I went to play some pool at Jake's. I even won some money. Brenda:Well, that's great, baby. Sonny, while you were gone, I was thinking. Since AJ hasn't tried anything in regards to Michael, there's really no need for us to have to continue to live under the same roof as Carly. And since I now can afford it, why don't we move out of the Brownstone and leave it to Carly. It is her mother's house, after all. I just found out, tonight, that Jagger's apartment over the Outback is available, again. He's moving into Wyndemere. So we could move right in there. What do you think. Sonny:I thought I made it clear how I felt about this. I have no intention of living off you. And on my current salary, I can't afford the rent for that apartment. Brenda:But things have changed since then. Before you weren't aware Michael was your son. Now you've got new responsibilites and to meet them you have to let me pay the way for awhile. Sonny:As far as I'm concerned, nothing has changed. Certainly not my attitude abaout you supporting us. I pay my own way, Brenda. I always have and I always will. Brenda:I don't see why we should have to suffer because of your stupid male pride. Sonny:I don't see that we're suffering. We've got a roof over our heads. We've got food in our stomachs. A lot of people don't even have that. I'm sorry if this roof isn't fancy enough for you, but you'll just have to put up with it until I can affordy something better. We're not moving out. If you want to move to the apartment over the Outback, you'll be moving there by yourself, because I won't be going with you.(he storms out, again) Helena's Yacht: Faison(enters)So what have you been up to while I've been gone. Helena:Planting a few more seeds of hatred for Brenda Barrett in Veronica's psychotic head. Faison:Do you really think you can provoke her into trying to kill her own daughter? Helena:She already tried to do it once. I'm sure I'll have no problem convincing her to do it, again. The only problem I foresee is convincing her to do it at the Bacchanalian Ball. But, I'm determined, Faison, to make a new Cassadine tradition of someone dying everytime a Cassadine holds a Bacchanalian Engagement Ball. So how did it go with Michael? Faison:He refused to steal from his wife's relative. Helena:What! I never heard of such a thing. He'll never make a good Cassadine, unless he learns the art of stabbing his relatives in the back. Faison:Apparently, he has some kind of code abaout not stealing from his relatives or something like that. Helena:Well, then, I'll just have to make him break that code, won't I? Let's see how much he wants to stick to that code once I'm done with him.
