Corridor Outside of the Courtroom:
Sonny:I can't believe you did that in there. You purposely sabotaged 
Carly's case.
Brenda:I did nothing of the kind. You know I didn't have any choice 
about testifying. AJ had me subpoenaed.
Sonny:But you didn't have to volunteer things Alexis Davis didn't even 
know about.
Brenda:I did that for you.
Sonny:For me?
Brenda:Yes, for you. Baby, you've got a soft heart and people like 
Carly can easily take advantage of you because of it. That's how Carly 
got you to marry her in the first place. She played on your 
sympathies. And I knew she's do it, again, and convince you to lie for 
her, so I made it so you'd be unable to lie. You should be thanking 
me, instead of being mad at me.
Jagger(comes up behind Sonny)She's right, you should be thanking her, 
Corinthos. She just saved you from being charged with perjury.
Sonny:Who asked you, anyway.
Jagger:You know, Corinthos, if you're still so devoted to your wife 
that you're willing to put you future with Brenda in jeopardy for her, 
by lying under oath and committing perjury for her, maybe you made a 
big mistake leaving her and you should go back to her.

Inside the Courtroom:
AJ(sits behind Carly)How does it feel, Carly?
Carly(turns to him)What?
AJ:Tasting the taste of defeat.
Carly:You think I'm going to lose?
AJ:I know you are. Sonny can't help you this time. You're going down 
in flames.
Carly:AJ, you're a pathetic fool, but then you always were.
AJ:Call me all the names you want. It won't change the fact you're a 
loser, Carly. First, you lost Sonny to Brenda, and now you're going to 
lose Michael to me.
Bobbie(comes up behind him)AJ, why don't you go knock over a Salvation 
Army kettle and leave my daughter alone. Did you ever hear of being a 
good winner?
AJ:How heart-warming. The mama hen has come to protect her little baby  
vulture. Too bad you daughter didn't inherit some of your mothering 
skills, Bobbie, then we probably wouldn't be in this courtroom, today.
Bobbie(sits down in the seat AJ vacates after he heads back to his 
side of the courtroom)Are you all right?
Carly(smiles at her serenely)Oh, I'm just fine.
Bobbie:Aren't you worried about what Brenda said up on the witness 
stand.
Carly:Hardly. Actually, the little twit has played right into my 
hands. Sonny is absolutely furious with her.
Bobbie:Just what are you up to now?
Carly:You'll find out along with everyone else. Now if you'll excuse 
me I have a very important phone call to make.(she heads out into the 
corridor and spots Sonny, Jagger and Brenda in a heated argument. She 
heads over to the pay phone)Grandmother, it's me.
Helena:How are things going in court, my darling.
Carly:Brenda did a real number on me on the stand. She told the court 
I wanted her to lie. Because of what she said it doesn't look like I 
have a snowball's chance in hell of winning my case.
Helena:(purrs in delight)How dreadful, dear. It looks like as much as 
you didn't want to tell Michael that he was Young Michael's father, 
you're going to have to, now. You really have no choice in the matter. 
Tell me, is Mr. Quartermaine strutting around like a little bantam 
rooster thinking everything is going his way?
Carly:Is he ever. I can't wait to wipe that smug smirk right off his 
face. Is it time. Should I go to Sonny, now, or wait for the judge to 
award AJ custody then stand up and announce that can't give him 
custody because Sonny is really Michael's father.
Helena:This is your game, my dear. I'll leave the decision up to you. 
But whatever you decide, make it work for you.
Carly:Don't worry, grandmother, I will.

Port Charles Bus Station:
Robert(and Anna carrying Malcolm step off the bus that's just arrived 
from New York.)Well, we're finally home, at long last.
Anna:When I thought of us returning, I never thought we'd be doing it 
on the Greyhound.
Robert:(as he collects their luggage)Before we make our presence 
known, we need to find out just what we're going to be dealing with. 
I'm sure after all these years a lot of things must have changed.
Anna:So what's our first move going to be?
Robert:We'll head to the Asian Quarter and leave Malcolm in Olin's 
care. Then we'll don disguises and see for ourselves just how thing 
have changed since we've been gone.

Helena's Yacht:
Ari(enters)The men you have stationed at the Port Charles Bus Station 
just called in. Mr. and Mrs. Scorpio have just arrived.
Helena(turns to Faison)You were right. They decided to slip into Port 
Charles as unobtrusively as possible.
Faison:Helena, I know my prey well.
Helena:So what will they do next?
Faison:They'll try to get a lay of the land before making their next 
move.
Helena:You know, Faison, I'm really looking forward to dear Laura 
finding out Nikolas isn't really her son, after all. Almost as much 
as I'm looking forward to watching Laura compete with Anna Scorpio for 
the love of Robin Scorpio. Which one do you think will come out on 
top, anyway? Anna Scorpio or Laura Spencer?
Faison:Anna, of course. She's a fighter. And if provoked she can be a 
dirty fighter. If you had had Anna prisoner on that island, she would 
have never given it to either of your sons. She's be more likely to 
rip out their testicles with her bare hands.
Helena:I tend to agree with you, Faison. Maybe Anna Scorpio will even 
do me the great favor of ripping out dear Laura's throat for me.

Corridor, Port Charles County Courthouse:
Carly(comes up to Sonny, Jagger and Brenda)Sonny, could I talk to you 
for a minute.
Jagger:Go ahead and talk to your little wifey, Corinthos. I'll take 
Brenda home for you and make sure she's safe and sound. Come on, 
Brenda, let's go.
Brenda:I'll see you at home. Don't be too long.
Sonny(turns to Carly)I'm sorry about what happened inside. I never 
expected Brenda to pull a stunt like that.
Carly:Sonny, because of Brenda's testimony, I'm going to lose this 
custody case. I was really hoping I wouldn't have to do this. That you 
would never have to know.
Sonny:Carly, what are you talking about?
Carly:Before I tell you this, I want you to know I intended to tell 
you the minute I found out about it.
Sonny:When you found out about what?
Carly:I came to the airport to tell you, but when I arrived I saw you 
kissing Brenda. When you told me you and Brenda were back together and 
that she was pregnant with your child, I thought it was for the best 
that I remained silent since it would only complicate matters.
Sonny:Carly, whatever it is just tell me.
Carly:Sonny, brace yourself. AJ isn't Michael's father, you are.
