Wyndemere: Bobbie:What do you mean Sonny might be Michael's father? You didn't even meet Sonny until he returned to town. Carly:That's not entirely true. One night after Sonny had had a fight with Brenda and I'd had one with Tony we met at Jake's and one thing lead to another and we had sex together. Afterwards, Sonny and I agreed we'd never tell a sould what happened because it was a mistake and I wanted a future with Tony and he wanted one with Brenda. When we met up, again, at Jake's we acted like it was the first time we met and we just never found a reason to bring it up to each other. Bobbie:And it never once occured to you Sonny might be Michael's father? Carly:After that night I slept with Tony and AJ, I missed my period, then I slept with Sonny. When I found out I was pregnant I just assumed I was already pregnant when Sonny and I made love. Bobbie:Why do you all of a sudden think Sonny may be Michael's father? Carly:Michael got sick and Sonny and I rushed him to the hospital. Dr. Andrews diagnosed him as having Matacumbe Syndrome. There's only two ways Michael could have gotten it. The first way is if he was bitten by the Matacumbe, which is impossible. The other way is if he inherited it from one of his parents. Which is why I need to know if you know who my father is. Bobbie:Yes, I know who he is. His name was Cass Stephens. He was a college student I met during his spring break in Fort Lauderdale. Luke had gotten into a barroom brawl there and he'd gotten stabbed. I came up there to nurse him back to health and that's when I met Cass. Carly:Did he know... Bobbie:That I was a paid whore? No. I told him I was on spring break, too. He just never knew my spring break was from the whorehouse. I even lied to him about my name. I told him my name was Roberta Anderson. Carly:What happened. Bobbie:At the end of his spring break he told me he was engaged to be married and that all we'd had was a spring fling. Carly:Jerk! Bobbie:It was for the best. If he'd known what I really did for a living, it would have been over, anyway. I mean, you don't bring home a teen hooker to meet Mother. Carly:When you found out you were pregnant with my why didn't you contact him instead of giving me up for adoption. Bobbie:Aside from his name, he told me absolutely nothing about himself. I didn't even know where he attended school. There was no way I could contact him even if I'd wanted to. Carly:Did you love him? Bobbie:Yeah, I did. He was the first pure clean thing I'd ever had in my life. It was because of him that I realized I could have a different life other than what I had. If I hadn't met Cass Stephens, I might never have gotten out of the life. Carly:Do you know if he was latino or not? Bobbie:No, why? Carly:Never mind. I should have know finding out the truth wouldn't be this simple. Somehow I'm going to have to find a way to get a sample of Sonny's blood so a paternity test can be done on Michael. Bobbie:Can I make a suggestion? Why don't you just tell Sonny what you suspect. Carly:Because if it's true I want to reveal it at just the right moment. Bobbie:You mean you want to use it to your own best advantage. Carly:I love you, too, Mama. I've gotta go. Bobbie:Before you go through the trouble of having a paternity test done on Michael why don't you have your blood tested to see if it has any of the Matacumbe toxins in it. Carly:Thanks, I will. I'll see ya. Bye. Attic, Wyndemere: Stefan:(going through an old trunk of things. He finally finds what he's looking for. An old picture of a teenage couple on the beach. The only remnant he has of his romance with Roberta Anderson. As he gazes at it his mind drifts back to the past to the first time he met her)Do you mind? You're shaking sand on me.(he blows the sand off the page of the book he's reading) Roberta:Well, excuse me. This is the beach. There's sand all over the place. If you don't like sand, you should be reading your book by the pool. Stefan:You must be mad. I'd never be able to concentrate with those savages acting like wild animals. Roberta:They're just celebrating because they'd out of school. Why aren't you? How old are you, anyway? Stefan:I'm 18, why? Roberta:You could have fooled me. You sound like you're a hundred-and-eight. I mean, look at you. You're on spring break. You're on a beach. And what are you doing? You're reading a book.(she tries to read the title) Stefan:It's War and Peace. The russian edition. Look, just because I choose to conduct myself with a measure of decorum doesn't mean I'm a stuffed shirt. I assure you I know how to have fun just like everyone else. Roberta:Sure you do. Well, I'll leave you to your War and Peace. The russian edition. Try not to have too much fun. Stefan(comes back to the present)Not the most idealic of first meetings, but it was just the beginning. Robin's Cottage: Robin(as she finishes packing)You don't have to come with me. Nik:I want to. How are you going to explain to the Jacks about suddenly showing up on their doorstep in Alaska. Robin:I'll say there's a problem with the wedding plans that only Brenda can handle. Nik:Won't they wonder why you came all the way to Alaska instead of calling Brenda on the phone. Robin:I'll just tell them I tried to call, but I couldn't get through, so I decided to come in person. I really don't think they'll suspect why I really came. Nikolas, I've got to tell Brenda about Sonny and I can't do it over the phone. She has to know what John Jacks did to Sonny and she needs to come home and be there for Sonny. Carly is trying to take advantage of Sonny's emotional state and by the time Brenda gets back Carly will have sunk her claws so deeply into Sonny, Brenda will never be able to pry them out, again. Brenda and Sonny belong together and I'm going to do everything I can to make that happen. It was Stone's last wish and I'm going to do everything in my power to make it come true.
