Sonny's Room, General Hospital: Sonny(opens his eyes)Brenda, where am I? What happened? Brenda:Sonny, you're in the hospital. I found you on the docks. Sonny:I remember. As I was hanging up the phone someone grabbed me from behind, held something over my face and that's the last thing I remember. Brenda:It was John Jacks. Sonny:Jax's father? Brenda:He was waiting for me on the docks when I arrived. You won't believe the things he said to me. Sonny, he's a horrible man. He told me he once sent someone to beat you up. Is that true? Sonny:Yeah, I was on the docks one night when someone jumped me. I figured the Jacks' were behind it. Brenda:Why didn't you tell me? Sonny:I didn't think you'd believe me. You'd built this big fantasy in your head that the Jacks family was this perfect family you wanted to be part of. Brenda:Sonny, he told me he was the mob. Sonny:From the stuff I learned about him in Australia, I wouldn't be surprised. What I don't get was whyhe had me chlroformed. Was it just to scare you. Brenda:Sonny, he didn't just have you chlroformed. The paramedics found a fresh needle mark in your arm and found a syringe laying beside you. They're running tests to find out what you were injected with. Sonny:My head hurts from the chlroform and I feel a little groggy, but I don't feel the way I did when I was coming down after I'd been shot up with heroin. Brenda:Sonny, did you mean what you said on the phone? That you've left Carly and want to give us another try. Sonny:Yeah, I meant it. I love you, Brenda, and I always have. I want to give us another try. I'm just sorry it took me so long to make a choice. Brenda:You really fell in love with Carly, didn't you? Sonny:Yeah, I did. If you hadn't come back, I could have been very happy with Carly for the rest of my life. That's why I couldn't make a choice between you two. People say it's impossible to be in love with two people at the same time, but I know that's not true. I never stopped loving you for an instant, but I fell in love with Carly, too. You really can be in love with two people at the same time. But that's all over now. Brenda:Carly did something, didn't she? Sonny:I don't want to talk about Carly or what happened between us. We need to discuss what we're going to do about John Jacks. Brenda:Sonny, he really scared me. He told me he tricked Miranda into going to that mine the night of the explosion because he knew Jax had had Mac plant a bomb there and he was hoping she'd be killed in the explosion. I think I'd better play along with him until you're back on your feet, again. Speaking of which, he ordered me to be home for dinner. I'd better be going.(she leans down and kisses him)I love you. Sonny:I love you, too. Sonny's Penthouse: Carly(opens the door to Luke)What do you want, Uncle Luke? Luke:I'm looking for Sonny. We were supposed to meet down at the club, but he never showed up. Carly:He's probably out looking for Brenda. Luke:What happened. Carly:You should be pleased to know Sonny finally left me. Luke:So Sonny finally caught you trying to slip him some more Viagra, did he? Carly:Sonny told you? Luke:He needed someone to talk to that he could trust. Carly:And I suppose you convinced Sonny I was the one who did it. Luke:You did, didn't you? What was I supposed to do? Say, "Sonny, of course, Carloline wouldn't do something like that." Then you could continue to slip the stuff to him. Carly:I should know now I can't expect any loyalty from you. Luke:Caroline, you really blew it, this time. You did what I thought was impossible. I never thought Sonny would ever be able to fall in love with anyone but Brenda. He tried to make himself fall in love with Lily, but it never worked. But he really fell in love with you adn what do you do? You drug him. If you could have just played it straight with him, I think there's every chance he would have piced you over Brenda in the end. But, now you've lost him for good. Carly:I wouldn't be so quick to gloat, yet, Uncle Luke. I think you're selling me short. You see, I am going to get Sonny back. You just wait and see. You just see if I don't. Luke:You're completely delusional if you really believe that. Sonny's through with you for good. Carly:We'll just see about that, won't we? Sonny's Room, General Hospital: Sonny(as Grant enters)So we meet again, Dr. Andrews. I know you must think I'm some kind of drug addict, but I'm not. Grant:Ms. Barrett made sure I knew the same thing. What do you remember about what happened to you. Sonny:I was on the docks using a pay phone when someone grabbed me from behind. Then I could smell chlroform and that's the last thing I remember until I woke up in the hospital. Brenda told me you found a needle mark in my arm and a syringe laying by my side. So, do you have any idea what I was injected with? Grant:Yes, I'm afraid I do. I don't know how to tell you this. You know, as a doctor on a daily basis I see the horrible things human beings do to each other. Mothers throwing their newborn babies in the garbage when if they didn't want them they could simply put them up for adoption. Parents abusing their children. Husbands abusing their wives. Then there's a whole other breed of people. People who have AIDS and knowingly try to infect healthy people with their disease by having unprotected sex with them. That denist who injected his ex-girl friend with the AIDS virus because she dumped him for another man. Or the man who injected his infant son with the AIDS virus so he wouldn't have to pay child support. Sonny:Dr. Andrews, just what was in that syringe I was injected with. Grant:We found traces of blood inside the syringe. We ran an analysis on it and it contained the AIDS virus. Sonny:And you believe this AIDS infected blood was injected into me? Grant:I know what you're thinking, but there's no guarantee you'll develop HIV or full-blown AIDS. Sonny:Those two examples of people injected with the AIDS virus. They both eventually developed AIDS, didn't they? Grant:Yes, the their cases were radically different from yours. They had no idea what was done to them until they got sick, but we know what's been done to you and we'll be able to monitor your condition and treat it from the start. Sonny:Dr. Andrews, I'd like to be alone if you don't mind. Grant:Of course. You'll have to have periodic HIV tests. In fact, I've ordered a nurse to come in and draw your blood so we can do an HIV test, now, but I believe it should come up negative. And, Mr. Corinthos, you should be aware of something else. You've got an enemy out there. Whoever did this to you knew you. The blood in that syringe matched your blood type exactly. Maybe you should be careful. There's no telling what this person might try to do next to you. Will February Sweeps be a dud? Get Your Private, Free Email at http://www.hotmail.com
