The Docks:
Brenda(stands frozen in shock as she watches Sonny and Carly's display 
of affection)
Sonny:So do I take it this means things went well in court.
Carly:What's the matter, Sonny. Can't a wife just kiss her husband just 
because she feels like it. Because she's happy to see him. Because she 
can't keep her hands off him. Because she's crazy about him.
Sonny:Then the judge granted you custody.
Carly:Yes, we've been given temporary custody of Michael, to be made 
permanent after we're visited by a social worker for three months to 
make sure were providing a healthy enviroment for Michael. I really 
think the deciding factor was the judge learning wwe just got married, 
this afternoon. You were right. Us being married didn't make that video 
tape seem so bad, after all.
Sonny:I told you appearances is all that matters to the law. You could 
have been giving me a blow-job on that tape and the mere fact were 
married wouldn't make it seem that bad.
Jax(and V stumble on the scene)My god, Brender, is it really you.(Sonny 
and Carly jerk around in her direction as Brenda's eyes lock with 
Sonny's before she impulsively throws herself in Jax's arms, while V 
watches helplessly as her dreams crumble before her eyes)
Brenda:Yes, Jax, darling, it's me. I've finally come back to 
you.(glancing at Sonny she kisses Jax passionately on the lips)
Jax:Oh, Brender, you don't know what I went through when I thought you 
were dead.
Sonny:Carly, you can stop digging your nails into my arm. I'm not going 
to go over to her. As you can see I'm not the one she came back to or 
wants. She probably doesn't even notice I'm here. Lord knows, she 
certainly didn't notice me the night of the warehouse fire.
Jax:Brender, where have you been all this time.
Brenda:California. I had anmnesia. Then memories of you came back to me 
and here I am.
Sonny:Why don't we go to the Q's and pick up Michael. Let's leave the 
lovebirds to their privacy.
Brenda(watches Sonny, longingly, as he and Carly walk off together)Jax, 
darling, can you take me to the penthouse. I really want to be alone 
with you. I've missed you so much.
Jax:Of course, Brenda, anything you want.(he suddenly remembers V 
standing at his side)Oh, V, I forgot about you.
V(with an edge to her voice)Yes, I can see that. Welcome back, Brenda. 
Why don't you two go along. I'm sure you have a lot to catch up on. We 
can talk, later.(Jax watches as V walks off into the distance carrying 
her suitcase containing her trouseau)

Sonny's Penthouse:
Luke:You married Carly! Are you nuts!
Sonny:It's only temporary. As soon as Carly's given permanent custody, 
we'll get a divorce. Luke, it was the only option left to us to stop the 
Q's from winning custody. By marrying Carly, I couldn't be forced to 
testify about our relationship which would have made Carly look bad. It 
also legitimized that raunchy tape of Carly and I. You know how 
appearance conscious people are. A rich guy can beat his wife and people 
make excuses for him because he's rich, but if a poor one does the same 
thing he's the scum of the earth. Just like if a married couple get down 
and dirty on tape it's somehow all right. But if a single couple do the 
same thing it's pornographic.
Luke:You took a big chance, partner. AJ and Keesha are married, too. The 
judge could have awarded them custody.
Sonny:There was never a chance of that happening. They had too many 
marks against them. The bribing of witnesses to lie about Carly. AJ's a 
recovering alcoholic who brain damaged his brother. Not to mention AJ 
and Keesha have an inter-racial marriage. Appearances again. 
Luke:So, this marriage is only temporary. Are you sure about that? Did 
my niece really agree to that. By the way, just where is your bride, 
anyway.
Sonny:She went to tell Bobbie about our marriage. She wanted her mother 
to hear about it from her, first.

Jason's Bike Shop:
Carly(storms in)You vindictive bastard! You testified against me in 
court to get back at me, didn't you.
Jason:You took Michael away from me.
Carly:And you let Robin be a mother to my son when I made it clear to 
you I didn't want her anywhere near him. Did you really think I'd let 
you get away with that.
Jason:I don't see what you're complaining about. You won. By the way, 
what was that paper Justus handed to the judge about you and Sonny.
Carly:(smirks)It was our marriage license.
Jason:You and Sonny got married.
Carly:That's right.(she waves her wedding and engagement ring under his 
nose)Just this afternoon. I think Sonny will make a great father for 
Michael, don't you.(she looks around the bike shop in disdain)You know, 
it could have been you, Jason. Me and Michael, the penthouse and the 
mob. But you gave it all up for this. Tell me something, Jason. When you 
and Robin are having sex, do you ever fall asleep in the middle of it.
Jason:Shut up! Get out!
Carly:My pleasure. My husband is waiting for me at home.

The Outback:
Felicia(as a dejected V enters)V, what are you doing here. I thought you 
and Jax were going off to get married, tonight.
V:A funny thing happened on the way to the wedding. We ran into Brenda 
on the docks.
Felicia:Brenda? She's alive.
V:In the flesh. Felicia, we were so close. It's not fair.
Felicia:Where's Jax, now.
V:With Brenda, of course.
Felicia:V, you're not going to just step aside for Brenda, again, are 
you, like you did when Sonny left her standing at the altar.
V:What choice do I have.
Felicia;You can fight her for him, that's what you can do.

Sonny's Penthouse:
Luke(as Carly enters)Should I hum the Wedding March.
Carly:Uncle Luke, I forgot you lived here, too. Isn't it time you moved 
home to your wife.
Luke:Sonny's under the impression this marriage of yours is going to be 
temporary. What do you say about that, Sweet Caroline.
Carly:Do I think this marriage is going to be temporary, Let me see. 
I've got this handsome, sexy, hot young husband opposed to the fat, old 
neurosurgeon I was willing to settle for. We live in a penthouse, he's 
got money and pretty soon he'll also have power when he takes back the 
mob. Not to mention he knows how to make love to me just the way I like 
to be made love to. You tell me.
Luke:That's what I thought. Just how do you intend to convince Sonny to 
stay married to you.
Carly:Michael can replace the child Sonny lost and I happen to know how 
to make love to Sonny just the way he likes to be made love to.
Luke:So does Brenda Barrett. Did you hear she's back from the other 
side.
Carly:Sonny and I were witness to the resurrection, but as you're so 
fond of telling me, I'm a Spencer. Sonny's mine now. If she tries to 
take him away from me, I'll make her live to regret it.
