CHAPTER NINETY-ONE

THE PENTHOUSE:

Carly(came in and hugged Sonny from behind)So, how did it go at the Coffee Warehouse. Did you have any problem shipping out that shipment of coffee.

Sonny(turned to her and kissed her)As we speak, it’s on it’s way to it’s watery grave.

Carly; Excellent. And may we never give that particular blend of coffee another thought.

Sonny: Where were you?

Carly: I want over to Spoon Island to visit my mother.

Sonny: And how did that go?

Carly: Pretty good. I’m just glad Cassadine got someone to give him a kidney so I’m off the hook for it. (she changed the subject) Enough of that. I say we go out tonight and celebrate that a certain pestilence is finally out of our lives for good.

Sonny: I can’t. I have an appointment, tonight.

Carly: Since when? Last I heard you were intending on spending the evening alone with me.

Sonny: It suddenly came up. I’ll try and make it as quick as possible, and then I’ll come right home with you.

HELENA’S YACHT:

Andreas: Just how are we going to set-up Roy DeLucca for killing Jax? I know we’ve been giving his body preservatives to disguise when he really died, but what if the coroner can figure out he’s been dead longer than when Mr. DeLucca kills him.

Helena: That could propose a problem. Of course, if we could arrange for there not to be enough left of Jax for a coroner to examine, that could solve our problem.

Andreas: What do you mean by that?

Helena: I need to do some thinking on that. As for how we’ll be setting up Mr. DeLucca, it’ll be ridiculously easy. DeLucca is a big mouth. He shoots off his mouth without giving any thought to what he’s saying. We’ll just have to make sure the right people hear him shooting off his mouth.

THE GROUNDS OF WYNDEMERE:

Stefan(was watched Bobbie taking a walk around the grounds through a pair of binoculars. Stefan was still a bit put-off by the end of Bobbie and Carly’s conversation that he’d overheard. It bothered him for reasons he didn’t wish to examine too carefully that Bobbie might still be carrying a torch for the DeLucca thug. Well, at least she said she tried not to think about him because it was over between them. But “tried” didn’t mean that she didn’t still think of him. He didn’t like the idea that she might still be thinking of him. Then he tried to reassure himself. What did it matter if she thought about that criminal. She was with him, now, and that’s all that mattered. Then something happened before his eyes that really rattled Stefan’s cage. Roy stepped out from behind the bushes and greeted Bobbie. Stefan saw red. Had Bobbie arranged to meet him? Was this the first time she’d met that thug on his grounds? Had she been playing him for a fool?)

Bobbie: (took a step back from Roy) Roy? What are you doing here?

Roy: I had to see you, Bobbie. I haven’t been able to stop thinking about you since the day I came here and found you with Cassadine? Why did you do it, Bobbie? Why are you here with him?

Bobbie: Roy, you shouldn’t be here. You should leave. If Stefan finds you here he’ll have you arrested for trespassing.

Roy(grabbed Bobbie and pulled her into his arms)Was he telling the truth when he said you slept with him when you and I were together.

Bobbie: Yes, it was the truth.

Roy(shook Bobbie)Why, Bobbie? Why?

Bobbie: I don’t know why. It just happened between us. We were fighting one moment and we were having sex the next. Now I’ve got to go. (she pushed away from him)Stefan will be wondering where I am.

Stefan:(glanced coldly at Bobbie as he watched her making her way back to the house. Bobbie had better not have been playing him, again, for that thug. Because if she was, he’d make her very sorry.)

HELENA’S YACHT:

Sonny(entered)You wanted to see me.

Helena(looked him up and down)You’re prompt. I like that.

Sonny(threw the video tape down in front of her)How did you get this.

Helena: I’ve been having you and your wife watched. I told you there would be a price to pay for trying to thwart me, Mr. Corinthos. And the time has come for you to pay it.
