CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND TWELVE

WYNDEMERE:

Bobbie(followed Roy into the foyer)Stefan, tell me you’re not serious about what you said on the docks? That you expect me to choose either you or Roy to die.

Stefan: I’m deadly serious. I think it the ultimate test to prove who you really want to be with.

Bobbie: What if I choose for you to die.

Stefan: Then you’ll live to regret it.

Bobbie: What is that supposed to mean?

Stefan: Barbara, you don’t honestly expect me to just stand there with a target painted on my chest while that Neanderthal pumps me full of lead because you chose for him to live, do you?

Bobbie: Then I don’t have a choice.

Stefan: No, you do have a choice. I expect you to try and save one of our lives. The question is which one of us will you try to save. The answer is the man you truly love.

Bobbie: What if I try to save both of your lives. What if I succeed at that? What will that prove?

Stefan: I suppose it’s possible you could accomplish that. That is unless I do something to place you in a position so that isn’t a possibility.

Bobbie: Stefan, I’m sick of all your Machiavellian intrigue. (she stormed up the stairs)I’m not going to deal with this.

Stefan: (yelled at her departing back)You will if I say so, Barbara.

ON THE OUTSKIRTS OF PORT CHARLES:

Sonny(pulled off the road)I think it’s safe to stop here for a little while.

Carly:(looked in the backseat to where Michael was sound asleep.)Sonny, what are we going to do ? Where are we going to go?

Sonny: There’s a safe house not far from here that nobody knows about. If I carry Michael do you think you can make the hike?

Carly: Of course, I’m stronger than I look. You didn’t answer my question. What are we going to do, now?

Sonny: Get to the safe house where we can be safe, at least for the moment.

Carly: And after that?

Sonny(reached into the backseat and picked Michael up)By now the police have probably discovered that there wasn’t anyone in the penthouse when it blew. So the hunt for us will begin.

Carly: So this is the way we’re going to be living from now on?

Sonny: I told you it would be no bed of roses and you said you wanted to go for it.

Carly: Considering that the mob tried to murder our entire family, not just you, I think I made a wise decision.

Sonny: Whatever the case, there’s no turning back now. We’d better get moving. The house isn’t too far from here.

STEFAN’S STUDY, WYNDEMERE:

Mrs. Lansbury(showed Roy in)Mr. DeLucca, Mr. Cassadine. (then she made her exit)

Roy: Why did you invite me here, Cassadine.

Stefan: Barbara tells me you intend to kill me.

Roy: So you invite me here to see you?

Stefan: As it so happens, I intend to kill you, as well. So I thought we might as well just get it over with.

Roy: Excuse me?

Stefan: In ancient times if two men had a disagreement over a woman, they would duel over her. That’s why I invited you here. (Stefan stood up, picked a pair of leather gloves off his desk and smacked Roy in the face with them)I challenge you to duel at dawn. To the survivor goes the spoils, in this case, Barbara.

Roy: Man, are you for real.

Stefan: What’s the matter, Mr. DeLucca? Is it too much to face me on the field of honor where we both have an equal chance of being the victor. Do you prefer to sneak up behind me in a dark alley some night when I’m least expecting it.

Roy: Man, are you calling me a coward?

Stefan: If the yellow-streak down your back fits, Mr. DeLucca, then wear it.

Roy: Fine, you’re on. I’ll be back here at dawn. (he pointed his finger in Stefan’s face)You’re going to be dead, man, dead!
