CHAPTER ONE-HUNDRED AND ONE

HELENA‘S YACHT:

Sonny(came out of Helena’s bedroom looking sick to his stomach. He felt like he’d just been raped, and in a manner of speaking he had been. He certainly hadn’t done what he did by choice. She forced him to do it by using Carly against him. He picked up the video tape and ripped it out of the cassette. Then he turned to her.)You’d better keep the rest of your bargain.

Helena(leaned back against the doorway of her bedroom and smiled at him)Surely, it wasn’t as bad as all that. I know I enjoyed it, thoroughly.

Sonny: I’m glad one of us did. Just know this, if Carly isn’t released from police custody, immediately, I swear I’m gonna kill you. After what you just did to me, I no longer have anything to lose. (with that he stormed off of the boat. When he reached the deck he leaned over the side and threw-up.)

STEFAN’S STUDY, WYNDEMERE:

Bobbie(entered)All right, Stefan. How long are you going to continue with this silent treatment.

Stefan: I don’t know what you mean, Barbara.

Bobbie: You haven’t said a word to me since you found me with Roy.

Stefan: Did you arrange to meet with him?

Bobbie: No, what would make you think that?

Stefan: Well, it’s not the first time I’ve seen you with him.

Bobbie: Excuse me?

Stefan: Don’t play dumb with me, Barbara. I saw you with him in the garden the other day.

Bobbie: Was that the day you started acting differently towards me. Where you told me I was just your concubine to use and not to use when you pleased.

Stefan: What of it?

Bobbie: Well, now it all makes sense. You saw me with Roy and you got jealous.

Stefan: I was not jealous. And certainly not over some criminal of Roy DeLucca’s ilk. But it did make me wonder. Did you arrange to meet him.

Bobbie; No, he just showed up the same way he just showed up the other day. I didn’t invite him.

Stefan: Just what are your feeling for DeLucca?

Bobbie: I don’t know. All I know is I don’t have that all-consuming need to be with him to the exclusion of all-else like I used to have. And that’s really all I can say.

INTERROGATION ROOM, PORT CHARLES POLICE DEPARTMENT:

Carly(ran into Sonny’s arms when he entered)Baby, where have you been all this time. (then she took a searching look at him)What’s wrong. What happened.

Sonny(wanted to lay his head on her shoulder and wrap himself in her arms and seek comfort from her, but he no longer felt that was a right he had after what he’d just done, so he put on his old, “I’m just fine” act for her and forced himself to smile at her.)I’m fine. What’s been going on while I’ve been gone.

Carly: Sonny, they found my bloody clothes in our apartment. How is that possible. I got rid of them.

Sonny: Someone has been playing games with us.

Carly: Who?

Sonny: It doesn’t matter. I took steps to make sure it stopped. You didn’t say anything when they confronted you with the bloody clothes, did you.

Carly: No, I did exactly what you said. I didn’t say anything. I claimed I’d never seen them before in my life and accused Taggart of planting them in our apartment to frame me to get at you.

Sonny: Good girl.

Carly: So what do we do now?

Sonny: We just wait. Something should be happening very soon to get you out of this mess.

Carly: Just what did you do?

Taggart(entered looking down in the mouth)Well, Mrs. Corinthos, looks like you lucked out.

Carly: What are you talking about.

Taggart: Another witness just came forward. Apparently they were on the bus your ex-husband took out of town. He was pretty loaded and bragging about what he was planning to do to you to have his ultimate revenge against you. He was going to make it look like you’d murdered him. He obviously planted those bloody clothes in your apartment, and when we pressured him, Roy DeLucca admitted that AJ Quartermaine had paid him to come to the police and lie about seeing you with Quartermaine on the docks. It seems you’re free to go.

Carly(threw herself in Sonny’s arms)Did you hear that, Sonny? I’m free to go. Isn’t that wonderful.

Sonny(looking sick)Yeah, it’s wonderful.
