EPILOGUE
Several Months Later:
THE CASSADINE YACHT, SOMEWHERE IN THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA:
Stefan(popped open a bottle of champagne. At sunset, Stefan had had the captain of the yacht marry him and Bobbie. And, tonight, they were about to enjoy their honeymoon. He poured Bobbie a glass of champagne and held it out to her.)To us. (he clinked his glass against hers.)
Bobbie: Do you really think we’ll be able to make it, this time?
Stefan: I wouldn’t have remarried you if I didn’t. Besides, I think we’re a lot wiser this time around.
Bobbie: We definitely share no secrets. I’m not sure I like that. You’re starting to turn me into a true Cassadine by making me assist you in all your plots and schemes. Especially what you and I did to Roy.
Stefan: It’s not like we killed him. I’m sure he’s off somewhere starting a new life for himself.
Bobbie: Some new life with him thinking the police are after him for Helena’s murder. I can’t believe when you bursted into the yacht that you pretended like you thought Roy had killed Helena and you’d come to stop him, but you were too late.
Stefan: You could have told him I was the one who killed her, but you didn’t.
Bobbie(sighed)No, I didn’t. Still, I feel sorry for Roy. He thinks the police are looking for him for Helena’s murder, and he has no clue that you and I disposed of Helena’s body when he was gone and the police are still looking for Jax to arrest him for being the Sex Toy Stalker.
Stefan: He’ll survive. He got off a lot better then he deserved. And I only did it the way I did because of you. I knew if I disposed of DeLucca, as well, it would always stand between us. Enough of DeLucca. This is our wedding night.
Bobbie(reached up on her tiptoes and kissed him.)So it is.
Stefan: Then let’s get down to it, shall we?
THE LIVING ROOM, SONNY AND CARLY’S HOUSE:
Sonny(and Carly were cuddling in front of the fireplace of their two-story home complete with basement and attic after finally putting Michael and Faith to bed for the night.)Happy?
Carly(leaned back against him and smiled.)Very. And you?
Sonny: Yeah, for the first time in my life, I really am.
Carly: Then you don’t miss the mob or living life on the edge, and you don’t find being an accountant boring.
Sonny: Well, yes, I find being an accountant boring, but I don’t miss the mob and the danger. I just pray the mob never realizes that we’re not really dead.
Carly: They won’t. Jason is the only one who knows and he’ll never tell. (she turned to face him)Sonny, when our children grow up, do you think we should tell them the truth?
Sonny: No, I want them to believe this lie we’ve built for them is the truth. I never want them to know about the mob. I never want them to be touched by the sort of life I lived.
Carly(held his face in her hands.)I love you, Sonny.
Sonny(leaned over and kissed her)I love you, too.(he stood up and held out his hand to her) Let’s go upstairs to bed.
