A Quick IQ Test
Hello, again, I have another short update that I thought I would post because it's very interesting to talk about. I found this funky website where you can take a test to find out your general IQ and EIQ, the latter dealing with your emotions. EIQ is important too, because it's good for a successful employee. They stated that my IQ was 129, which is one point below "Very Superior" (darn), but I'm happy with what I got. The report said I'm "exceptionally good at discovering quick solutions to problems, especially ones that involve math or logic. You're also resourceful and able to think on your feet." My rank is "Precision Processor" (lol)! As for my EIQ, which was 127, they said "your strongest suit is empathy your ability to see things from someone else's point of view." You can take the IQ test here, and the EIQ test here! Make sure to share with us what you got. :D

Raining Blows
A new month! A new POTD and quote! Yaaaay, so exciting! About the karate tournament last Saturday... holy cow. You can read all about that on the opinions page. After a depressing note like that, I am glad to say that my brothers both brought home second place medals; my younger brother got 2nd in forms, and my older got 2nd in sparring. Maybe next year, for me. The school year is almost over... I've been waiting since the end of last summer. :D I can wait a little longer. If you are a senior (like I am) and you get a B- or higher in your classes, you are excused from the senior exams, so I'm definitely set. Until Uconn (University of Connecticut), that is. There's nothing else very serious on my mind at the moment, so I don't really have much material to go on. But I am working on an experimental version of my reanimated RpM Clan website, being hosted here, on geocities instead of our old server, clanslide. If anyone wants to see the early template, just contact me. Reminders: I am always looking for feedback and material from the people that visit this site! I always like to make it more interesting for the visitor, so don't hesitate to give me a good quote for the month, or a picture, poem, writing, or something you just want to get out!

Short Update
Just a quickie everybody. Lately, I am being confused again (some friends helped me clear it up a little), but I found a song that sort of matched what I was trying to express in words. When I listened to this song, really listened, it made me cry. It felt like somebody was lifting my heart; a reach for the heavens. It's by Lifehouse, and it's called Take Me Away. All should listen to it. The lyrics: Take me away This time what I want is you There is no one else Who can take your place This time you burn me with your eyes You see past all the lies You take it all away I've seen it all And it's never enough It keeps leaving me needing you (chorus) Take me away Take me away I've got nothing left to say Just take me away I try to make my way to you But still I feel so lost I don't know what else I can do Cause I've seen it all And it's never enough It keeps leaving me needing you (repeat chorus) Don't give up on me yet Don't forget who I am I know I'm not there yet But don't let me stay here alone This time what I want is you There is no one else Who can take your place I've seen enough And it's never enough It keeps leaving me needing you (repeat chorus 2x)

sunday piano recital
Ah, the once-a-year piano recital is upon us once again! Actually, I just had it four o' clock today... and it was much better this year, I think. If anybody doesn't know what I mean by piano recital, it's a little concert where all the piano students (and their families) get together and play their piece of choice, one at a time (it gets nerve wracking sometimes, to get on a stage by yourself in front of a million people). I am managing to control my nervousness, though my hands still get tingly and they shake and sweat. As usual, I had my choice of a piece from my book of Sonatinas, though this time it was a Rondo by Mozart. The other piece I played (where a lot of people complimented me) was Lake Eerie Rainfall by Jim Brickman... gosh, I love playing that song. The piano I played on was much stiffer than the piano I have at home, and it took my the better part of the first page of the Rondo to get used to it. After everybody played their appropriate pieces (I was second to last), Mrs. Lyons (our piano teacher) usually hands out awards to various people. Awards based on areas like, "Best Improvement" or "Hardest Working." As I reflect now, I remember getting a little statue of Beethoven; the next year I got one of Mozart (since I love their music). A year after that, I got a little book of music that explains every single niche and nuance of piano music (it came in handy!). The year after that, I got a little medallion that had a piano etched into it... it is very pretty. :D The next year I didn't get anything... oh, well! This year, since I am moving on my way to college, Mrs. Lyons had all the seniors (only two of us today) come forward and she gave us these really cool looking medals that have our names, and they years we were in her studio etched on the back. Really cool. :D When I think back, I've been going to the same teacher since I was six... which is 1993-2005. Wow!! It must be really cool to see a little boy grow up to go to college. Comment in the Shoutbox please!

a smallish update!
Hi everybody! Just wanted to make an update now so everybody knows that, no I didn't fall down in the toilet and die in my own feces. I know I didn't get that poem I was writing in yet, but give it time, because I'm not done with it yet! For now, to temporarily satiate your terrible appetite for more things about the almighty "Phil" (wink wink), I have a new idea in mind for the Public Opinions page (it in itself looking kinda anorexic). I am planning to have a little section where everybody visiting here can have their own little private quote on my site! So everybody start sending them in, or I will hunt you down. The first one, by Susan Remondi, "Hey, everyone needs a hug. They make the world go round." Makes sense to me! :D Post them in the shoutbox if you are too lazy to IM me. I will give a more satisfying update later in the week. I'm sorta in a rut right now!

computer LAN & senior Solo
Hello again everyone! Today is a very remarkable day in the way that... 1) I had a half day in school :D 2) Concert tonight playing Rhosymedre (which is a very nice song) 3) Playing my senior solo - Jim Brickman's Lake Erie Rainfall! 4) We got those damn squirrels out of our attic More on the squirrel situation at my brother's site. It's about one o' clock right now... the concert's at seven tonight. I am really excited to play because all my friends are coming, not to mention those already in the orchestra and band at my highschool! I will update more on this when I get back home (along with some pics). A few weekends ago, my brothers, friends and I had a really swell computer LAN at my house. They all brought their computers over and set 'em up in our little 'computer room' which is conveniently located near the kitchen... Well! You can easily see from the pictures below just how many people we had playing at once. Lan Picture #1 - In this one you have a good shot of James Dodds fragging, and James Casey's arm, (Xen Ninja) and )FilipinoMadness( respectively. Lan Picture #2 - You have a good view of my back, Jami Daversa's, and my younger brother John, )Jackie Chan( )Wang Chung( and )Jet Li(, respectively. Lan Picture #3 - A close up of James Casey fragging on his laptop. Lan Picture #4 - Wide view of the room. My older brother Cliff is way on the right in the corner named, )Chow-Yun Fat(. **UPDATE** The concert was awesome!!! I was the first one to play, since I was playing a senior solo in the Slater Auditorium. All my friends were there to see me, and the audience was great! I was very pleasantly surprised by the volume of the cheers and the applause when I went up to play Lake Erie Rainfall. When I finished, I recieved many compliments which I cherish very, very much. I always liked to set the tone. :D I will have pictures of the concert maybe later tomorrow, because my mom somehow accidentally overwrote the footage of the beginning of the concert on her camera (poop). But gauranteed, somebody else recorded it. Since I am a senior, all of us seniors lined up in front and got roses (yay!). We also gave our conductor a bunch of gifts, including a golf set. I think the most special one to Mr. Aubin was a picture of all the seniors in the music department framed with the signed autographs and little notes left for him to read. He was tearing up in the middle of it, and I was beginning to also. I will indeed miss Mr. Aubin and the whole NFA Orchestra!
