dust settles slowly
Hmm, I should probably give you guys an update on how my summer is going! For starters, this has been a very interesting vactation. Too many things for me to think about right now, or my head will be in danger of imploding. I am going to my grandparents' house in Penn. for about two weeks (August 19-26). Woohoooooo, so exciting (attempted enthusiastic cheers). I guess it's nice to see them once in awhile (since they're so glad to see us), but they're idea of a wild time is showing us how they grow apples. The chem classes aren't that bad - as compared to the previous year were everyone was expected to know the first three chapters cold. With individual attention, it's much easier as you can go at your own pace. Suddenly, the Gen Chem course up at Uconn doesn't seem so bad! :D What have I been up to, recently? Thank me for asking. Well, I've been taking a look at a 'dream forum' where various people come to discuss weird things that they witness in their dreams and what they mean. To me, I would reason that the best interpreter is yourself, but it's always an interesting read. Not that I would ever put my dreams up there... Click here for the link. Since it's a new month, I'm always open to new material from all you people reading this post - I want to get anything that may be on your mind; a blog that you wrote on a piece of paper, a poem, or a picture for the POTM, anything! If not, you miss a spotlight on my site. :P I'm also reminded of that IQ test I took a while back. Why don't you take it and see what you get? As for the gaming side of me, my brothers and I are eagerly awaiting the release of DOD Source! The original game for HL1 has to have been one of the most fun modifications for a six year old game that I have ever played. Now with state-of-the-art gaming technology integrated, a very fun gaming experience is guaranteed! Especially my younger brother, who is literally bouncing off the walls waiting for DOD:S to be released, keeps talking to me about various facts of the game, such as the high poly in-game models for maps, new bloom HDR effects, the date of estimated arrival, etc. I really can't get him to shut his trap. My prescription contacts still didn't come in... They said 'two days' since the last last Thursday. Apparently, there's a problem with their math, or I could just believe the 'computer system problem' and not blame their consistency as legitimate orthodontists.

Uconn, next stop
Rrrrghhg, everything today somehow manages to piss me off, but nothing remarkably pissy has happened to me today. Maybe I need to go out and get a jog. I just finished this post, then my farking computer had to say something about Firefox not allowing popups, then me accidentally hitting the wrong X button on the wrong window... etc. Well, a brief rundown is that I'll be dorming soon (about two weeks) with my three other roommates (a quad), and they all seem pretty decent so far. Our room was previously a study room, so I'm hoping it'll be big-ish (with an AC), because the testosterone can get uncannily high. Oh, yes. I forgot to tell everyone who bothers to read this a formal "lo siento," so here goes. "Oops, I forgot. My B." My main project right now is a TS fan movie... I typed all about it until my windows went haywire, and I don't feel like retyping it right now. I dunno. What am I lacking?

the kitty cat
Hmm. I'll be leaving for my grandparents' house early tomorrow morning. I'm not using a plane, we're actually driving, cause we're hella lazy. And it's only an eight hour drive. Nothing three hyper-active, testosterone filled, protein-smacked teenagers can't handle. <sarcasm>I really can't wait to learn how to grow 'dem apples. </sarcasm> Um, we also found a little kitty cat outside of my house, sorta pressing up against the glass door. I thought it was a cute little thing, but my parents didn't want me bringing it in (apparently). The next morning, it was still there, in the same spot, still clawing away at the door (it was raining the previous night). So, me being the over-sensitive and emphatic me, went outside and, uh, shared my body heat. The little girl immediately started brushing against my legs in that oh-so-cat-ish gesture of appreciation. I made a little bed for it out of a cardboard box and some old rugs. I also put some water out for it, with my leftovers from dinner. Since cats are essentially carnivores, who eat raw meat (because their digestive system is much more capable of taking meat uncooked than us simple homo sapiens). I want to name the little girl "Pikachu," not because I'm a fan of Pokemon, but because I think it fits her personality quite well. Though I'm taking a lot of unsuspected friction down at Cliff's site about that. Meh. Communists. Some pictures of the kitty cat can be found here. Going back to the trip (which will last 'till next Thursday), I at least look forward to jogging in the fresh, Amish, manure-coated and rather intoxicating air down in Lancaster, Penn. Yep, 'dem Amish chicks are hot. I wonder what happens when I use a lot of Axe around them. They probably chase after me and throw pumpkin pies or something...
