Glimpse
Back
Ice surrounds me painting the landscape white
Eyes and body both feel the chilling sight
Mountains beyond shimmer in filtered light
Cold seduces, whisp'ring to end the fight

This land once was bright and warm, so I've heard
In the time when people controlled the world
Dying as the old prophesy unfurled
Disbelief until the great change occurred

(This is a glimpse of the future)

Huge beasts rule now, living on captured souls
Purest metals cover their bodies whole
M.O.M's peacekeepers burdened by such a load
Peace to them is us packaged, marked, and stowed.

All who live are governed by their control
They're our teachers, truth is what we've been told
Hunting after those who dissent, who know
Fighting for our freedom at any toll

(Life has died, but death lives on)
