JANUARY - MARCH 2001
Well here it is 2001.  I think of how the first two month of the year seem to quickly pass. Days have been full of Sarah, spanking, pottie training, colds, flu. Not much different than Dec. other than pottie training.

The big exciting thing was Sarah "decided" that she would start pottie training during the week I was down with flu and bronchitis (bad this time). Every time she needed to go she came and got me, no matter if I was mentally awake or not. One night, I completely forgot to put on her special adapter seat. Needless to say, my mental alertness returned after I realized I had dropped Sarah in the toilet, in a failed attempt to set her on it. She was looking at me like, "Am I soppose to have my bottom in this far?"  From that point, every time we open that bathroom door she is quick to remind me to get her special adapter seat. She also now perfers to get on the pottie seat on her own without assistance from Mommy.

We now have a healthy brand new baby neice born to my brother, John and his wife Tina.

Doug's Dad and I celebrated our Feb. 28 birthdays on March 4 (today) with Doug's family. It was more just pizza and visiting.  I was really surprised to come to church on my birthday to get some special cards and a whole gallon of Schwans Ice cream!  Now, I just need to find some time to sneak to the basement freezer to eat some before the nameless ice cream monster (cousin to Cookie Monster) finds it!

A group of gals from University Rio Grande "SEARCH" group came up for the weekend for a "retreat" at our home. Doug was ever so gracious to take Sarah and give me some time with the gals. We focused on several things from God's word and the them of the weekend being Luke 10 & Proverbs 3:5,6 in reference to Martha and Mary. "Chosing the best part and having a devoted heart" in every thought, choice, circumstance, decision and situation. Saturday evening have insight and refreshement as we washed one another's feet with some really good peppermint foot wash.

Doug started baseball practice for spring season last week. He is coaching for His middle/jr.high school.

Well, since I am on my sister in law's computer and I am visiting here, I need to end. My computer time on a whole has been cut drastically as God reminds me of more important priorities.

Hey, at least I took 5 minutes to do a quick update?

And again, God is still good, sovergn and in total control. He is truely awesome!
